So I'm coming up with a prompt for anyone wanting to write alongside me but keep the incest-ish Targ tradition lmao

Prompt:

Aemond weds his mother to the Prince of Dorne to gain power in the Step Stones + a loyal Dornish army but he also must wed one of the Prince's daughters or daughter. Which would render you step-siblings. Yay lol

Aemond doesn't wanna obviously but eventually will out of duty.

If you wanna pair her off with Aegon just make it so that there's no romance between her and Aemond and she avoids court by volunteering to see to Aegon's bandages. Reading to him, getting bored and talking to a pretty much KO'd Aegon who is just sleeping the whole time but hears her voice. He doesn't know who she is so when he sees her he just assumes "random woman" when he begins to wake they form a bond, fall in love, yada yada.

OR a love triangle. OR no Aegon at all and Aemond and her just fall in love.

ASOIAF fancasting –> People of Dorne: Santiago Cabrera as Arthur Dayne

Most famous of all was Ser Arthur Dayne, the deadliest of King Aerys II’s Kingsguard, who defeated the Kingswood Brotherhood and won renown in every tourney and mêlée. He died nobly with his sworn brothers at the end of Robert’s Rebellion, after Lord Eddard Stark was said to have killed him in single combat. Lord Stark then returned Dawn to Starfall, and to Ser Arthur’s kin, as a sign of respect.

Looking over the confused heroes of the current series from up high, a vision of the knightly ideal that they wish they could achieve, Arthur Dayne is as much a symbol on a pedestal as any courtly lady in the series. In reality, Arthur himself made difficult choices and had to live with them, and I can only imagine some of the internal struggles he put himself through.

new to the fandom on tumblr! I’ve always cannoned the martells as being poc (especially since the show using south Asian and Latin American actors/actresses and so on), but I know ppl use the argument on here that Dorne is inspired by spain, therefore they’re “white/European”. I’m not sure if you answered this already, but what are your thoughts? I always looked at it as the characters being poc, but took inspiration (such as architecture) from Spain.
