organized disorder
💚 creating time is quiet-focus time for me, even when shit around me looks like pure mess. 💚 cuz my stuff is everywhere, i keep emergency scissors in every room and needles ready to go with some travel kits that help when i’m working elsewhere. 💚 i actually hate a cluttered workspace, but sometimes it takes me a while to clean cuz i get really tired and hurty. 💚 so i keep travel kits and containers organized by palette.

Anytime I am getting ready to travel I have both the overwhelming urge to make something specifically for that trip but also a need to have a project on the needles during the trip.
Right now, I am trying to finish a dog sweater and a human cardigan as well as make an over bag tote. Still need to come up with a travel project or two, but we have some time.
Going to make a shawl for my sister for Christmas and picked up 3 balls(around 650yards) since this colorway should go with just about anything she might wear. And its got just a hint of sparkle.
Unfortunately, I'm still stumped for patterns. And she said all the ones I showed her were all pretty, and she'd like whatever i make. When pressed further, with rectangle or triangle shape, she'd prefer a triangle.
I don't have the spoons to 20 question her. And I don't think she does either.
About to start the last bit of Lazy Daisy stitches for this project.
The French Knots were A Lot, but I find them less stressful than Lazy Daisy? Probably because the Knots are "come up, wrap the floss around the needle this many times, then go back through close to where you came up and pull it tight" and the Lazy Daisy is come up, go right back down, don't pull it all the way through, come up and through the loop of floss then back down, pull it tight, not that tight! Too tight! That's not right enough." And so I have trouble with consistency when doing Lazy Daisy stitches that I don't have with French Knots which drives me around the bend, because which of those sounds like it should be easier?

I have to Urge to make a Pretty Thing out of Ornate and Intricate fabrics
The great thing about using vintage materials to make clothing is that you have a unique and personalized item when finished.
The tradeoff is you can’t just go to the store and buy more.
Dilemma of the Day:
Design the parts to work with my printer (which is printing out of spec)
Design the parts to work nicely *in theory*
I know the right answer is fix the printer and then build the good parts but I’m going to bake a cake and procrastinate first.
