Child! Major x child! Reader (platonic!) :3
(this isn’t my best work, I was super lazy making this) 🙂↕️
summary-You and Max were friends as kids, even though one of ya’ll were fancy rich, and the other’s parents couldn’t even afford a house that would be called a house…
The sun hung high, clouds passed by slowly above your head. The grass would sway side to side as each passing breeze brushed against it.
You were lying down against a more soft patch of grass on a tall hill, tall enough to see all of your town. Max and you were able to run to the hill ya’ll always met each other on. You pointed your finger a particular cloud, before gently speaking to Max.
“That one looks like a dog.” You said, turning your head to look at Max. He was already staring back at you. He just… smiled. When he was with you he was always happy. He’d rather be wherever you were than anywhere where his parents or home was.
It was only a few seconds before he responded back to you, fiddling with his fingers.
“That one does look like a dog…” He said, his voice soft, quiet, as if afraid someone would hear but you.
Your smile faltered, as he kept looking away, looking everywhere, but didn’t seemed to want to meet your gaze. You sat up on your elbows, looking at him with concerned eyes.
“What’s wrong? Did anything happen back at your house?” You questioned him. You knew what happens at his home. His mom always with paying customers in bed, with his dad always drinking. Nothing else, just drinking bottle after bottle of alcohol.
He didn’t seem to want to respond. You knew if he was ever quiet, it was a silent ask “May I stay at your place again tonight?” You would always agree. You couldn’t bear your best friend always having to go back home to that dreaded place, always having to walk back into that hell he had to call home.
You stood up, stumbling a bit before regaining your composure. You held your hand out for him which he gladded accepted. You pulled him up with you, and without a single word, you both began running down the hill. Max smiled, as you giggled uncontrollably. You both lost your balance, now rolling down the hill, now laughing hysterically.
You ran through the streets of Berlin, Max following behind as fast as he can, as he tried to not run into others. It wasn’t long until your home came into view. Your home compared to Max’s, it was obviously more comfortable, welcoming, and filled with a warmth that Max’s home didn’t have.
You rushed to the dining room, taking your seat at the table, with Max quickly rushing to take a seat next to you. You greeted your mother and father, they both greeting you back, and greeted Max as well. He just smiled, and shyly waved at them. You two talked at the dinner table as you waited for ya’ll’s plates.
You always wondered what Max’s future will be. You two always talked about Max working under your father, who owned a company. He said he always liked working at operas, maybe being a musical conductor! He always liked orchestral music!
Whatever he grew up to be, you would always be there to support him, and be there to praise him…
