I’d love an Alexander Anderson x gender neutral reader where the reader and Anderson met as member of Iscariot but the reader had to retire due to chronic illness and now works with the children at the orphanage. I like to think of him as kinda shy and awkward at first with new people (outside of battle)
Anderson had such conflicting feelings about you while you were a member of Iscariot
He didn’t want to mix work with romance, so he chose to treat you like any other colleague
He was a bit cold at first, (helps hide the shyness) but the more you work together, the more he started to warm up to you
When he heard you had to retire, he was disappointed, thinking he’d never see you again
It was probably for the best he thought
But then, while working at the orphanage one day, he caught sight of you
He had heard someone new was going to start coming, but he never thought it’d be you
“Good to see you Father Anderson,” You greeted
“G-Good to see you too, Y/N,” He replied
The children caught on nearly instantly
They would make it their mission to get the two of you together
But they wouldn’t have to do much
At first, he’d be a little flustered around you while you work together
This was his second chance, it had to be a sign that this was meant to be
He had given up on being with you, the fact that you came back to him had to be a miracle
He’ll help you with anything you need, and even things you don’t
Even if you’re carrying something that doesn’t bother you at all, he’ll insist on taking it from you
He may try to use that excuse that he doesn’t want to irritate your chronic illness, but really he just loves helping you
You’ll have to make the first move though
He’d be happy just spending time with you like that forever, but you want more
Your first date will be a a night time stroll around the orphanage
Be warned, the children will be peeking out the windows to see what happens
And even though he’ll get onto them the next day, Anderson thinks it’s sweet that they want to see him happy so badly
