Commission for @maccaillte featuring their DBH OCs, Seven(RK700) and Peach, Seven's daughter, as well as Connor, in a reverse/human AU setting. Connor often assists Sev, his older sibling, with their parental duties. And although Connor is Peach's uncle, not her actual parent, he does love her as if she was his own child 💖

Warm  smile  pulls  onto  tender  features,  eyes  softening  visibly  from  concern  to  showing  the  utmost  gratitude  in  the  most  subtle  but  intimate  of  ways.  It  sparks  free,  the  warmth  he  feels,  and  reminds  him  that  this  is  why  he  does  it  all.  What  keeps  him  going,  day  after  day  of  struggling  and  fighting  an  uphill  battle  with  humanity  to  have  some  semblance  of  a  helping  hand  for  those  in  need.  The  security  to  share,  to  be  seen  by  one  another,  by  those  who  understood,  and  to  heal  from  past  wounds.  To  feel  cared  for  and  affirmed,  to  know  fully  and  wholeheartedly  that  they  were  alive.  For  no  soulless  thing  could  feel  the  gratitude  and  compassion  that  he  did  in  that  moment,  evermore  grateful  that  they  would  share  with  him  in  the  first  place.  To  bare  wounds  both  physical  and  emotional,  lay  it  all  out  for  him  and  what  an  honor  it  was  to  take  it  all  through  a  touch  of  a  hand  and  say  ;  i  see  you,  i’ve  got  you.

Hand  outstretched  once  more,  digits  ever  reaching  but  not  in  a  desperate  search  as  many  would  expect.  Pale  fingers,  synthetic  skin  drawn  back  in  a  show  of  trust  as  he  carefully  places  his  hand  over  their  own  to  offer  a  light  squeeze.  And  all  that  pours  in  is  :  love  !  love  !  love  !  ------------  Such  tenderness  that  could  never  be  spoken  of,  and  care  that  words  would  do  no  justice,  and  yet  still  he  would  try.

❛    well  i  was  glad  to  help.  you  deserve  to  have  someone  you  can  talk  to,  seven.  i  know  it  can  be  difficult  sometimes  but  .  .  .  you  don’t  have  to  hide  how  you  feel  anymore,  not  here,  not  from  me.  ----  give  the  other’s  time,  once  they  get  to  know  you  i’m  certain  things  will  feel  a  lot  more  like  home.    ------------   and .  .  .  thank  you,  for  not  giving  up  on  this  place.  i  know  you  felt  alone  at  first,  and  by  all  means  i  couldn’t  blame  you  if  you’d  decided  to  leave.  but  i’m  so  glad  you  didn’t.  no  matter  how  dark  the  nights  get,  i’m  with  you,  seven.    ❜

                   ❝ You shouldn’t have followed me.  ❞  It was a consideration made clear not only in declaration but in action earlier in the evening as Connor had made his way out into the woodlands surrounding the small village alone. It was dangerous for the strange clockwork contraption which bore his likeness to wander outside in plain sight, & not merely for the possibility it might be discovered to be something altogether inhuman. It’s unwitting yet obligated companion was arguably far less human than the automaton, more akin to an animal when the hunger took him & his body rejected all logic & passivity of the mind in favor of the hunt, of survival at it’s most brutal. & Connor could be brutal. He could be cruel, a vicious monster which destroyed that of which he was once a part of. Yet somehow he could not make Seven understand how hazardous their venture was.

                  Leaving in the cover of darkness without a word, Connor had speculated - foolishly at that - he might escape a while & return satiated of his murderous deed. Only when the night creature had come across the particular scent of a most tempting prey which had been followed tentatively but with silent anticipation had the automaton rediscovered him, immediately giving chase to catch up to their companion. Unnerved yet unable to disengage from his pursuit in favor of ushering the curious machine back to their current accommodations, Connor allowed Seven to remain, though he was unhappy over the matter. His body was a bundle of nerves set alight with the tingling itch to run, to give chase & pounce upon the lone male which had caught his attention & Connor watched from a distance with eyes glazed of drunken neediness, the glow of lantern lights playing upon the reflective sheen of his dark eyes, pupils pitted with keen interest.

                  Thunder through waves pulsing with every pounding rush within his chest, he heard his heart beating in his ears, the flowing of blood thickened & hungry, veins pulled thin with desperate want. It was too late to turn back, to abandon his mission now. All that was necessary was an opportune moment of which to strike.

His armed were crossed as he leaned against a wall, watching his mechanic put this RK700 back together. It was a miracle the thing was still functioning, albeit very weakly so. There was just enough energy left in it to emit a faint distress signal that Simon was able to pick up when they were scouring the junk yard for survivors. They were able to rescue three other mostly functioning Androids from the pit, but this was the one in the most dire condition. It took another three hours of sifting through the yard to find the corresponding parts it needed, including both legs, an eye, and the lower half of the right arm. The Android had an old model that was not designed to be durable, so it was difficult to find the parts that weren’t too deteriorated. The prognosis was not looking good, but as long as there was a chance to save an Android life, they would keep working till that was no longer the case.

Connor ( 6′0 ) & Seven ( 5′2 )

            In  his  monochrome  musings  the  moon  was  a   d e e p   s i l v e r   ,   as  if  she  were  a  rock   a l o n e   in  space   ,   turning  pirouettes   for   no  applause   .   It  never  left   .   It  was  always  there   ,   watching   ,   steadfast  ,   knowing  all  in  their  light   &   dark  moments   ,   changing   f o r e v e r   just  as  humans  did   .   Every  day  it  was  a   different  version  of  itself   .   Sometimes  weak   &   wan   ,   sometimes  strong   &   full  of   l i g h t   .   The  moon  understood  what  it  meant  to  be    h u m a n   more  than  Connor  did   .   Uncertain   .   Alone   .   Cratered  by   imperfections   .   It  was  no  wonder   M a r i e   held  such  a  deep  connection  to  it   .   Connor  held  a silent  appreciation  for  it   . 

            A  pair  of  optics  analyzed  the  android  before  him  with  an   i n t e n s e   brown  gaze   .   Connor’s eyes  were  a   d e e p   ,   earthy  brown   ---   the  color  of  the  earth  after  torrential  rains   .   But  there  was  something  else  in  them   ,   something   g l i s t e n i n g   .   Glistening  like  an  old  copper  penny  being  examined  in  the  warmth  next  to  powerful  flames   .   They  held  secrets   ,   the  same  way  a  pot  held  layers  of  deep  soil   ---   c r a d l i n g   ---   because  it  was  essential  to  keep  the  plant  safe   .   The  roots  were  held  in  place  the  same  way  his   d a r k   eyes  held  so  tightly  onto  his  secrets.

   she doesn’t anticipate visitors very often, in fact after she left cyberlife entirely and shadowed herself away in her home with her androids, she refused to really ever associate with the public. it was easier that way. el600 telling her that she has a visitor is oddly... surprising. but she simply moves down the steps of her home coming face to face with someone she certainly didn’t anticipate on seeing.
