If I had a nickel for every time Kirk convinced an AI to kill itself I'd have four nickels. Which is kind of a lot when you consider the context of their peaceful mission of exploration

I’ve rewatched “The Ultimate Computer” (Star Trek: The Original Series, season 2, episode 24). And I can call it one phrase: “Hello from the sixties to the people afraid of AI”. I mean it tells about a supercomputer was given the command of Enterprise and then it destroys a Federation starship (and kills people) to defend itself. The funny thing is I almost don’t remember this episode, but I do remember the surname Daystrom – probably because of the Daystrom Institute and Daystrom Award.
