A Secretary, A Consultant...And more?
This is sort of a ramble fic, I had an idea and sent this as an ask to @monpalace but I cleaned it up a bit and decided to actually post it!
Not fully edited, so if sentences dont make sense then thats why! ALSO HI LU FANDOM! I MAY OR MAY NOT BE BACK :D
Characters: LU! Warriors x GN! Reader Warnings: Boss x Secretary vibes, Slightly suggestive wording but still PG, weird grammer Words: 1400+
Once the war is over, Warriors now finds himself in a position far from any battlefield. He is a hero to the people, a symbol of courage, peaceâŚand now he's a man behind a desk with meetings to attend and a pile of paper work in front of him. Needless to say, itâs a HUGE change. One that he canât seem to grasp- this is not like any weapon he has used before and somehow deadlines based in politics are much harder to meet compared to ones in war.
They both have their similarities butâŚwell, he canât exactly just cut down any one of these pompous nobles when heâs late to a budget review meeting.

The chain gathered at the peak of a hillside in Wildâs era, searching for the best location to set up camp for the night. The sun was beginning to dip below the horizon, painting the sky a vivid pink and casting a golden light across the landscape.
âI think that the clearing near that river looks promisingâ, Time suggested thoughtfully. There was an open patch of grass littered in wildflowers no more than a ten minute walk from their current location. The suggestion evoked a small chorus of agreement throughout the group. âBut what about over there? Thereâs less woodland surrounding that spot, so less threat of an ambush.â Four interjected, hand running across his chin in thought. It was true. The more open space they had, the better. There had been a noticeable increase in monster attacks recently, and it was sensible not to take any risks.
The ongoing debate did little to interest Wars. Despite his usual command and presence in the strategic decisions of the group, his attention had instead been drawn to the sky, morphing into even deeper, more dramatic shades of pink and lilac. Heâd been distracted a lot lately, and the others had definitely began to notice. Legend was quick to use this distraction to his advantage, of course, much to the captainâs annoyance. He sighed, and took a breath. He had to focus. He had to. He just⌠couldnât.
Whilst the others had noticed his current mental state, he hadnât revealed to them why yet. He was far too embarrassed, and confused, to do so. He wasnât even sure how he would say it. For the past few weeks, heâd been having⌠dreams. Of course, dreams werenât exactly revelatory. The others had all sorts of dreams all the time. What was different about these dreams, however, was that he truly couldnât comprehend what he had seen. He was looking through the eyes of someone else; that he could understand. What he couldnât grasp was what he was seeing. Paper thin folding devices with moving pictures which appeared and changed with the press of a square button, much more advanced than Wildâs Sheila slate. Wagons which moved without any horses. Strange writing everywhere, in a dialect he had never come across, even when he was working with communication from across the whole Kingdom in his military career. Every now and again, in the windows of a building or the shiny surface of the weird folding device, he would catch a glimpse of someone. He could just about make out the outline of her hair, and the curve of her jaw, before she looked away. The dreams first appeared spontaneously - once every week or two. But they had steadily increased, to the point that he expected it each night. He was confused, and completely unsure about how to proceed. Of course, he was no stranger to the ways of the Goddess, and he was certain that this was of her doing.
Wars was so deeply distracted by his own thinking, that he almost missed the weird dot that appeared in the sky. The weird dot that was growing bigger⌠and began to take the form of a portalâŚ

(y/n) was hurrying home from a social event at a university society. The theme was Mamma Mia, and she was dressed accordingly in boots, a white maxi skirt embellished with lace and a gold belt, a blue sequinned triangle top that tied together at the back, and cute little gem stones on her eyelids. She had crafted a story about sold out tickets to get out of going to the club night afterwards with her roommate, and instead planned on cooking her frozen pizza and curling up in bed for the rest of the night (the dream).
What she didnât expect was to step into a void. Because wtf.
The ground where her foot should have landed had ceased to exist, replaced by a tunnel of darkness. As quickly as it had appeared, the void in the floor disappeared, leaving the street which she had just been on completely silent.
(y/n) on the other hand, was not silent at all.
She screamed and shrieked, and thrashed about. She felt as though she had been swallowed up by the earth (not really a good metaphor to be honest, because it was true), or plunged into the depths of the ocean. She was flipping and twisting in every direction imaginable, and only when she opened her eyes did she notice the large, murky body of water which she was about to crash into. (Rip her eyelid gem stones đ)
~
Just as the rest of the chain turned around, their jaws dropped in almost perfect synchronisation. In the middle of the sky, a portal shifted and churned.
âWhat in the world is a portal doing up there? We canât get there in time to pass through, surely?!â Sky quickly noted. The others had only just begun to express their concerns when they were, for a second time, silenced by what was in front of them.
A body fell out of the portal, screaming unwaveringly, dropping at a rapid pace until the sound of a splash was heard.
âQuick!â The chain didnât hesitate when Warrior barked the orders. When there was a portal, whatever happened was immediately their problem.
For the first time in a while, Wars had perked up. He took a position at the front of the group, drew his sword in caution, and led the chain alongside Time and Twilight to the crash site. He didnât know what it was that had changed in him so suddenly, but he sure as hell wasnât waiting around to find out.
~
Her head sprung up from the murky depths of the small lake which she had landed in, gasping for breath. She desperately paddled and waded to the bank of the water, clutching her chest in shock and pain. The fall had winded her beyond what she thought was possible, and the skin on her arms had already begun turning a shade of red from the sting of the landing.
Her laboured breaths fell silent when she heard a snort, and the clinging of metal.
Pig?
She was sure pigs didnât make metallic sounds?
The snort was soon joined by other snorts, and grumbles, and more definitely not-pig sounds. The nearby undergrowth began to shake too.
She stood up hurriedly, glued to the spot in fear. At the moment of climax, a sort of boar-like creature shuffled out of the bushes.
âAww⌠okay.â She said. Because really, what else could she say to a boar.
However, when an arrow pierced the ground near inches away from the boar, she then jumped back in shock.
âWOAH!â She cried, startled by the boarâs sudden charging away. The snorting sound which she had heard before returned, louder than ever. This time from the undergrowth, a large group of mutant-pig-like-creature-things stomped out in her direction.
There was a moment of silence. She thought maybe she was hallucinating. When one came closer to her, and suddenly produced a shriek louder than anything she had ever heard before, causing Green spit to coat her face, she realised that she was not.
Before she knew what was happening, she was sprinting away faster than she had ever ran before. Her skirt gathered in one of her hands to avoid tripping over, while the other hand clothed to her chest (unfortunately, the cuter the top, the looser the tits). She made the mistake of turning back, only to find that more of the creatures had joined the original group. There were others, too, filing into the ranks which freightened her even more; lizardy-things, tall-moose-pig things and one-eyed-bats? She didnât have time to worry about the composition of the creatures though.
(y/n) caught sight of a dense thicket of woodland, seeing an opportunity to hide and divert the now quite large group of creatures chasing her.
As she turned the corner of a large outcrop of rock within the woodland, she collided face-first into a chest.
~
Wars was speeding ahead of the rest of the chain.
âYâ got aâ wait for us, Wars! We need tâ stick tâgether!â Twilight tried to shout some sense into him, but Wars wasnât having any of it.
He was almost running at this point, so close to where the person from the portal had fallen. As he weaved around a large outcrop of rock, he jolted backwards from the impact of something into his chest.
He stumbled backwards in surprise, gripping onto the thing that had collided with him for some sense of balance. When he looked down, time stopped.
Piercing green eyes, wide with shock, gazed straight back into his. The girls plush pink lips heaved in laboured breaths, and her freckled cheeks were tinted red - judging by how hot he suddenly felt, Wars was sure his cheeks were a similar shade. The more he looked at her, the more shocked he became. He knew that hair⌠and that nose shape. He recognised the curve of her jaw, too. Before he could do anything, however, a bloodcurdling war cry sounded from the tree line, and bands of bokoblins, lizalfoes and moblins tumbled into the clearing, all with their dark eyes centred on the girl.
He pushed her behind him, and the rest of the chain piled into the forest clearing with their weapons drawn. Wild was plucking down the arriving monsters with his bow from a perch on top of the rocky outcrop, whilst hyrule and legend stood back to back, blades swiping at the lizalfoes that surrounded them. Twilight had shifted into Wolfie, making quick work of the bokoblins which neared the group. Sky was occupied by takingâs down a particularly large moblin, whilst Wind, Four and Time assaulted the rest of the monsters.
Warsâs only priority was protecting the girl. He wasnât sure why. It felt instinctual. He held her close to his body, covering her with his shield and masterfully slicing through any creature that dared come close.
He made the mistake of stepping away for a second and helping Wind, who was about to become overwhelmed by a group of lizalfoes. When he turned around, three bokoblins had surrounded her, and the one wielding a club had struck her in the head before she could react, rendering her unconscious. The same bokoblin lifted her body onto its shoulder, and began to run away from the scene. At the same time, the rest of the remaining monsters all began to flee.
Quickly overcoming bewilderment, Wars sprinted in their direction. Luckily, Wild had understood the task at hand quickly, and shot down the remaining monsters. As the bokoblin holding the girl was shot, and disintegrated into dust, her body rolled onto the ground.
As Wars reached her, he worried instantly at the sight of blood on her forehead, undoubtedly from the blunt force of the club which struck her.
âThat was really weird, right?â Wild questioned.
âIt certainly was. Iâve never seen monster behaviour like that beforeâ Time interjected.
âWhy do you think they were targeting her?â Four added. Wars wasnât listening to their conversation anyway. He patted the blood from the painful-looking gash on her forehead, and removed his scarf. He wrapped the blue fabric around her shoulders, gently lifting her body into his arms. The adrenaline in his system hadnât died down yet, and he took shaky breaths as he tried to calm his racing mind. Was she really who he thought she was? Did that mean that what he was seeing in his dreams was real? Why was she here? Why now?

âI wonât do it!â
The voice cut through the club room, making absolutely no one flinch. No one was particularly surprised that Wind was arguing.Â
âI saved lives. I have killed a demon! I donât need to do⌠that⌠to be a hero!â
âItâs not thatââ
âNo, no! Warriors, when I asked you to teach me to be a hero, I meant to learn like, sword fighting and magic and how to not blow myself up with bombs! Notââ
âThis will help with swordplay!â Warriors caught Windâs shirt before he could run. âWind, itâs not the end of the world. Itâs just dancing!â Wind bit Warriorsâ wrist, making him shriek and let him go. âYEOWCH! Why youâ Wind! Knowing how to dance is beneficial to a hero! It teaches poise, grace, footwork, working with a partnerââ
âOh yeah, Iâm sure the next time I face a demon theyâll want to do a tango!â Wind rushed to the edge of the room, ducking behind Artie. âDance with Artie! You moon over her all the time, just leave me out of it!â
Time looked up from cleaning his sword. âMoon?â His normally blank face grew stonier. âI fought the moon once.â
