#lu aryll

I've been dying to draw fanart for @sprite-and-the-bunnydragons 's lovely Linked Seas AU for so long! This started as a doodle and kind of... ran away with the details, haha. I've had this in the works for a while ^u^ I love that Sky and Sun dance together when they reunite in the fic! Their joy is infectious, and the AU itself is so much fun!

For the picture I tried to stay as close as I could to in-universe descriptions (and had a masterlist of seaweed colors lol--I can't believe there's pink seaweed!). The fins were a fun puzzle. I ended up basing them a little off beta fish and a lot off flying fish, while trying to balance what size would make sense to propel a human-sized mer through the water. I also found a lot of new uses for texture brushes!

Sprite, thank you so much for the warm welcome on here and for all your writing tips, as well as being a fellow animal lover/baking/writing friend! I'm so happy to know you! Hope you have a lovely Christmas!

*After several arguments about what kind of treats a human would like--Aryll is adamant that you would love eel bites--the Chain sets up shop on a wide piece of driftwood next to your rowboat*

This au was rotating in my brain for awhile there tbh. The basic concept had been bouncing around for like a LONG time. I had some older drawings of werewolf form headshot? Bust shot? things for like Wind and a little bit Warriors and Time before I really developed the lore for the au beyond just Werewolf.

Probably have to redo them a bit tbh.

The world-building for this au has me in a chokehold/pos I wanna yap about it but not sure where to start.

well fun fact for this au: Legend used to be a full time werewolf hunter before being turned into one himself. Honestly most werewolves don't mind that fact all that much after the initial shock. It's a unsurprisingly likely statistical outcome for most hunters.

Still Legend will sometimes show the very specific knowledge that comes with the trade and it can be bit surprising. Like insulting the make of a specific werewolf trap because it was obviously put together by an amateur. And thinking it could hold a were for longer than a few minutes would be insulting. Because the hunter forgot to coat the chain in silver.

Or using his knowledge against an encroaching pack.

And maybe Legend still sometimes goes after certain werewolves if they happen to make a big enough problem.

Warriors is in a similar position honestly. Though he was never an official werewolf hunter he was in charge of helping keep people safe. His knowledge in comparison though is a little more rumors of whats known about werewolves than what the real deal hunters know.

He sometimes tags along on legend's self appointed hunting missions. Mostly to keep an eye on one another and not get themselves into any big trouble like uh... last time. (legend did not have fun)

also another random tidbit. Twilight is the only Non werewolf in the entire chain. He can turn into a wolf though. (shape shiftier not werewolf)

srry it took a bit longer I am still constantly in Glass and Metal Textures hell and for some reason I decided to only use the lasso tool for this. why? idk living la vida loca (I don't recommend. do whatever you want tho)
