The majority of art I’ve shared here has been skulls, bones, and decay, so this is different from the norm, but no less important.
This is a robot that is trying to keep itself alive, but cleaning up the leaking hydraulic fluid.
Early in life, it used to dance. As more and more fluid leaked, it danced less and less, until all it could focus on was trying to keep itself alive.
If there was ever going to be art to suggest palliative care, here it is!
This is a reminder, of course, of death. We are all going to die, no matter our efforts. This is also a reminder that your care doesn’t have to be done all by yourself. Someone could have helped the robot, and extend its life!
Someone can help you, too, so that you have more moments of dancing.
This is a poignant art piece, that symbolizes so much, and I love it for that, even if it also makes me terrible uncomfortable. It’s supposed to.
