everyone should have a personal private sketchbook or a folder full of digital artworks they’ll never post. Get a notebook with a lock or create a password protected folder. artists should have a space where they can draw whatever they want. Literally anything. It doesn’t matter how messed up it is, how violent, how gross, how cringey, how explicit, how poorly drawn. You can fill it with random patterns and word salad gibberish. Make it a chaotic jumble of unfiltered whatever. So long as you don’t post it the world of art is yours alone. You’ll have the freedom of knowing everything in your head can be released into pixels on a screen and markings on a paper with no consequences or bearing on reality.

The only problem is emoji gatekeeping which happens a lot with shipcourse. Some proshippers think certain combos belong to them and some antishippers harass people for using them.
