Wonkru Network ABC Challenge: Letter M: Mountain Men

Featured mainly in season two of The 100, the mountain men are the descendants of people who took shelter from the 2052 nuclear attacks in Mount Weather. These people are extremely sensitive to radiation and therefore cannot go outside and must live their lives in fear of radiation exposure. In order to combat radiation poisoning the mountain men took on the practice of kidnapping grounders with the use of reapers to use their blood in transfusions. Later, the mountain men discover that using the blood of sky people would be more efficient and begin to attack them. All the mountain men died as a result of this conflict, most of them when Clarke and Bellamy pulled the lever to allow radiation inside the mountain to save the sky people. The mountain men are remembered for their resourcefulness, but also for the kind members who fought to defend the sky people and grounders in the conflict.
