01.01.20 - 1. what did you achieve last year? what are you setting out to achieve this month? this year?

Honestly, making it through last year was one of my main achievements. I struggled a lot with my mental health, and surrounded myself with people that weren’t necessarily good for me. But I began my 2nd year of University in September, got new housemates, found someone to love, and gave my all to my studies! I feel so much healthier, happier, and productive, and I’m proud of myself for getting to this point. It has not been easy, and took a lot of work. This year, I want to read a lot more, improve my French fluency, and keep up this positivity! I’m aiming to keep this studyblr active too. I’d also like to exercise more and keep healthy. Hopefully attend all of my lectures too! I also move to France this August, so that’s a new challenge I’m preparing for.

For a country where free speech is supposed to be a right I’m not seeing much of it. Remember that no matter how many times they say we’re too young to know, get back up. What are they gonna do? Arrest us? We can literally say fu** you to the president and he can’t do sh**. So when it feels like you are literally doing nothing because some boomers still shut you down, you are doing something. Giving inspiration to all those people that haven’t gotten the courage to stand up yet. Making it easier for them to get up and fight back. Because I know that so many kids are driven into depression, suicide, and drugs because somebody told them that they weren’t good enough or that they’re to young when they decided to speak their mind. They’re the ones that have been paving the way so that we can reach greatness. So guess what. Next time your unfriendly neighborhood boomer comes to tell you that you don’t know enough, tell them to shut up. Do it. And if they yell at you, throw that argument that they love so much right back at them. “Free country my guy.” And continue your day with a smile on your face because if anyone deserves the satisfaction of knowing you absolutely destroyed someone who attacks communities that just want to live in peace, you do. And if you haven’t really done anything yet, that’s okay. Do it in your own time. It is hard, especially if you live in an oppressed country. But I’m here for you. We will get through this. Cause if they’ve been throwing this bs at us for 300 years, it’s time to throw it right back at them.

So let’s do it.
