Maybe Dan didn’t know any slang. Or maybe he knew too much slang and explained it is such precise detail that Attitude couldn’t edit around it.

Now I want to know what kinds of things your married gay uncles post.
well one of them is really obsessed with plants (LMAO) and he works at a botanical garden so his feed is like 100% cacti. and then the other is like super spiritual and posts about like buddhism and mental health and social justice. they totally troll each other just like that story lol, but also comment cheesy shit like “I love you to the moon and back, my husband!” on like every single post. i love them lol, they’re really just living their best rich gay lives.
happy birthday bud!!!
Y’all are so good to me, thank you for your kindness and birthday wishes 🥺🥰🥰🥰🥰
Oh hey, how is your back/sciatica doing? Curious if you are seeing improvement.
Okay! I waited to answer this until I actually had an answer.
It’s... sort of better? Sort of just in a holding pattern, though. I stayed off most meds except the acid reducer and for about three weeks only ate stuff recommended for healing the stomach lining. I started adding normal foods back in and then last week I started taking the medicine again.
I’m taking Meloxicam instead of Naproxen now because it’s supposed to be a little more gentle on the stomach. I also have Gabapentin I can take 2-3 times a day as needed.
I saw the osteopath who adjusted me but I wasn’t very impressed with the actual doctor - he ignored things I said and then wanted me to see a plastic surgeon for a breast reduction even though I never brought that up as an option I wanted to explore. Today I saw a massage therapist and frankly that was amazing and she recommended I do deep tissue once a month so I’m gonna do that.
The massage therapist also said I should see a chiropractor because she felt like I needed an adjustment so I am gonna make an appointment with one soon. I’m kind of just... preparing for the next time I have to go off the medication and hoping it’ll be better then!
Ok, some potential distraction questions — answer any that appeal to you: 1) what is the last thing that made you laugh out loud? 2) what is a book on your to-read list that you are looking forward to? 3) do you find your first impressions of people are correct or incorrect? 4) is there a superstition from childhood that you still halfway believe? 5) have you adopted any Britishisms into your everyday speech? 6) what is a good interaction that you’ve had with a stranger recently?
Sending some sunshine your way ☀️
thank you Megan 🥺 this is really really nice, I like that these questions tend to be asking me to look for bright spots in my life :)
1. I can’t think of anything at the moment that’s recently made me laugh out loud but scrolling through my tiktok likes, this at least still makes me smile
2. I keep seeing things about The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue everywhere, I don’t actually know much about it, but I’m looking forward to trying it out!
3. I think my first impressions tend to be correct? but I think I’m also facing my own confirmation bias bc I can only recall the people I’ve been correct about, I think I tend to slip up when I rely on areas where I have preconceived notions (ex if I think someone’s cool I might assume they’re very popular or if I see they’re well liked then I might assume they’re nice), I’m much less successful with my impressions online I think bc I rely on body language a lot
I’m going to keep the last three to think about for now as an advance future distraction for later :) thanks again , this helped a lot 💗

I think your sub 200k YouTuber post is interesting. I too find that smaller channels have a different audience engagement vibe. Like I used to worry that they didn’t have enough subs and stress on their behalf but now I don’t want small channels to grow too much. Like, it seems healthier to me as an audience member, though on the creator side there is probably a lot of financial pressure to grow. But I am really starting to think that smaller is more freeing and less toxic.
Yeah, I guess it really depends on the creator, but a lot of the smaller channels are run by people who have a main job and therefore are less likely to worry about putting out stuff just to have it out, and it feels like it’s more fun for them, idk. In general, there’s just so many to choose from, so you’re bound to find someone you like, and it’s fun to get to ask questions or interact with people directly
Just dropping in to say this is a beautiful statement: “ i can’t expect understanding 100% of the time, but i think i can expect kindness.”
aw hi megan!!! i’m glad that made some kinda sense to you haha, i was struggling a lot to describe what i meant. i feel like it’s come in handy a lot though, so i wanted to throw it out there and see if it stuck.
Thanks for hosting this neurodivergence discussion. It’s not something I know a lot about and I am learning from it. Thanks.
