Hello hello! To celebrate writing 300 fics I thought I would compile in a single place links to the videos or instas or whatevers that the particular fic is referencing/based on :) Enjoy—

and because i do my due diligence, i checked all the ticket sites I could, right, before just ultimately buying from the venue. But here’s the thing, the photos of dnp selected by each ticket site were vastly varied and though I’m sure they Weren’t they Felt telling:

vividseats Does Not know who they are (and to be clear, until this moment, I myself did not know who vividseats were so 🤷🏻‍♀️ only fair I guess lol)

we had the baby shower on saturday and here’s the thing y’all there were forty(40) people at this fucking party (🫢🫩😞) that’s sooooo many people but also wowowowow Baby is so loved and also yes Of Course they are !

My task for the baby shower (aside from a last-minute one where on WEDNESDAY night @ 9pm hily said “can I give you a job?” and I tentatively nodded and she said it just occurred to her that uhh we don’t have 40 places for people to Sit akskdjg so I had to find some last minute rental chairs and tables and uhauls but I’m a fucking dyke so of course I pulled it off 😤) was a diy we actually stole from my roommates’ brother for his first baby / baby shower, but I like to think I put plenty of me into it :3

I acquired a set of wooden blocks, and you Know i bought em wholesale so they were cheaper and Yes that did mean they were unsanded and uneven and basically baby poison, however that meant that I got to do the refinement myself! The divine act of creation and all that 🙂‍↕️✨ I leveled them with a Japanese bevel that I borrowed from my neighbor and I sanded all six sides with a 330 grit which is what I researched being in the baby-safe range, and then I hand sanded all the corners into little rounded corners so we don’t poke any baby eyes out, then my neighbor (the true mvp of this project if we’re being honest!) gave me two sheets of SIX-HUNDRED(600) grit sandpaper so I could like basically polish these bad boys and when I tell you these blocks are ~buttery smooth~ ooooh weee!

So then at the baby shower itself, we had enough blocks for Baby to have a set of A-Z and 0-9, and I had a table set up with the blocks and all my acrylic paint pens and tons of acrylic paint and brushes and sponges and I even went out and grabbed stencils because I realized some people (very much including me!) might not feel readily confident that they can make a big ol letter. And so just rolling along throughout the party, people came and claimed a letter or number and made one bespoke block, and now Baby has a custom set made by people who love them so so much they came out to celebrate them before they’ve even made their debut ✨

The blocks have one last step I need to give them before they’re ready, and that’s a baby-safe clear coat to keep the paint jobs nice and safe whether it’s from me and the other adults keeping them clean in the future, or from Baby trying to learn about the world around them the best way they know how: mouth.

Also lastly, I forgot to take a pic of my Party Lük™️ day of because obviously I was a little focused on being a co-host, but the two crucial components were this name tag I made for myself to explain to everyone what my role in the household / in Baby’s life is, and the tshirt-I-gave-my-fav-80s-football-boy-crop-top-snip-to I selected specifically for the day because the darling cats are me and the roommates cohabitating and coparenting and the heart we’re whoville-ing around is obviously the eagerly awaited Baby ✨💞✨💞✨🌾✨💋💋🥰✨🥰✨✨✨✨

It was about the concept of Shane having trouble adjusting to Wiebe’s locker room after being accustomed to how toxic Montreal was + a part of him genuinely believing that toxicity was tolerable/beneficial because it contributed to their success, and the text post mentioned a bad game and Shane chewing out Haas after and Ilya stepping in being like “uhhh no we don’t do that here” but my shower brain was like HEY what though if it’s Troy who is like “hey Ilya what if you take haas aside and I talk to Shane” because Troy has a lot of internal monologue in Role Model talking about the adjustments he himself had to make between Toronto and Wiebe’s coaching style and just like genuinely never having a nice coach before, and it’s not that the centaurs are all LiveLaughLove™️ like we ha ha hee hee around these parts, they Obviously work very very hard, but it’s so drastically different from what Shane and Troy saw, and notably it’s different than what they were successful on their old teams with, that an adjustment period absolutely makes sense and anyways I just thought it might be a nice thing to have Shane and Troy genuinely meet eye to eye on early on ,,
