THREE LEG YIELD STEPSSSSSS!!!! . Oh my gosh you guys Shane and I did it! Three leg yield steps! Shane and I both worked together to learn today and I’m so proud of him!!! ❤️🐴. They are very small steps, but good ones, and that’s what counts! We also did some 20 meter circles and bending to relax Shane’s hips and back. I couldn’t ride him independently today because Shane didn’t have a bridle on, and he has a tendency to put his head down as if he were grazing without one, and this would have pulled me forward. We had a great lesson today though 🥰 . Also, meet Ariel! She’s a Gypsy Vanner/Shire cross, and the cutest thing! She came to the farm to be a therapy horse after she couldn’t be used to give ocean trail rides anymore because it was banned here in Florida. #rubeushagrid is working to find his #bigboy trot. I am utilizing the #legyield to help him learn to sit down on that outside hind leg in order to use it for the pushing power of the #mediumtrot . In #dressage our medium and extended gaits come from collection. They are not faster gaits but bigger from thrust.
