My first ride on Amar since trying him at his owner's place. It was definitely a great ride, and he knows exactly what he was doing, so I did some balance work on him. Trusting him completely to not buck me off, or run off to somewhere.

He is definitely a very sweet boy, and I am looking forward to training some more with him and competing with him!

These days I have been quite busy. Busy with looking for some new horses for the stable, which proves to be harder than I thought, since my taste in horses and dear Alexander's taste in horses are veeery different. He likes the classic Dressage horses, simple in colour and markings, while I like them - still Dressage focused but - with more interesting colouring and markings.

So today I brought home a lease horse. His name is Hedmark's Amar KB, and I have leased him from Clarissa Mallinkroth. He is such a gorgeous boy, and I am happy to bring him back to the show scene with me as rider.

And then we will see if Alexander will find himself a horse whose qualities matches his ambitions xD

The last to babies have finally been born! First one up is BOE Melussina. Her sire is EJ Casse-Cou, and dam is RDEC Mandalaya. Somehow she was born completely solid with not a single marking. Luckily her Bay (Ee AA) coat is gorgeous. She is a KWPN filly. She is now the seventh foal of Mandalaya's, and she will probably retire soon from broodmaring as well. She has done well.

She has already been promised to Eleanor Hill, when she is old enough to leave her mom.

BOE Paramour - PD Lifetime Lover x EJ Schweppes - Smoky Black (Ee aa nCr) Finnish Warmblood Colt - 166 cm

The other foal, and the last one, is BOE Paramour. He is after sire PD Lifetime Lover and dam EJ Schweppes. He is Schweppes second foal, first foal with us. And while he might look kinda dark chestnut, he isn't! Actually he is Smoky Black (Ee aa nCr) and looks very sunbleached as well. He is Finnish Warmblood just like his sire, and has been promised to Aerys Ell.

And then a picture of all the foals in the foalcrop to finish up with! From left to right we have BOE Parzival, BOE Stormbringer, BOE Melussina and BOE Paramour. And as you see Bay was the colour of the month xD

Foals are born here and there at Briarwood Oaks Equestrian, and the other day it was Gazelle's turn to give birth. She had been covered by Paradoxis RPH from @echointernationaljumpers, whom we have a breeding cooperation with. Foals who are kept are divided as following: Mares/Fillies goes to us, and Stallions/Colts go to Echo International Jumpers.

Today though a non-keeper was born. Not because he didn't have the qualities we wanted, but because he had been sold before he was even born - just as his dam had been confirmed pregnant. His name is BOE Parzival, and he is a Bay Tobiano (Ee Aa nT nW) Selle Francais Colt with a lot of spunk! He has the best from either of his parents: His sire's energy, his dam's bravery and both's gentle soul and nature.

He will, when weaned off, go to live with Breanna Longhenry at her stable.
