#laugh please

I had issues with this joke because I thought "Oh, come on, Ben knows what sex is. There's no way they spent six months on an island, two of which Ben spent all on his own, and they didn't listen to Dinosaur Rutting Noises. He's twenty years old. He has a girlf--pause *scribbles note*--riend. He is a nerd. He knows about the birds and the bees."

But that's not actually the joke.

The joke is that Sammy was letting his baby girl go running around in the field with strange men. Has he met this dinosaur? Has he given a blessing? Does this dinosaur have a job? A stable home? Does Sammy even know this dinosaur's name??? And he put a baby in her? In Bumpy? Ben's Bumpy? The Ankylosaurus he helped hatch is having a kid and he's nver met the father?
