i just know liam and mason met each other since they were 5 and are so close together that their parents really thought they would be each other’s in-laws one day. they don’t understand that liam and mason are soul-bonded and the bond transcends any earthly legal institutions
however, this did make it so that when mason takes corey home for the first time, at least mason’s mother was very critical of corey. and she must have complained about it with liam at some point, and liam couldn’t help but agree with a few of her arguments, which doesn help the misunderstanding.

hc that mason uses physical touch to calm liam down when he gets a lil too angry and that shit works.
i'm willing to bet that mason has had to spoon liam to sleep so that he could calm down, or that when liam gets so mad that his vision gets a little blurry, mason will just kind of. take liam gently by the wrists. and lower them to the ground as gently as he can. and pulls liam's head onto his shoulder. and gets him to breathe as evenly as he can.
sometimes one of them cries from the intensity, other times they might just fall asleep right there. on the floor or couch or wherever.

one thing i love about liam dunbar is how he's hella emotionally volatile and crashes out over everything. and i don't just mean crashing out as in IED anger, i mean like, he gets depressed super easily, is constantly questioning things & at a low state of pissed and confused most of the time. and i love that for him. he has the bravery and audacity of scott with the pessimism and crashouts of stiles. mason has it in reverse. i made a chart with my computer mouse
