I have to share the first lines of ten of my fics. And, that's saying a lot considering I have, a lot (I did privatized quite a bit of my works, but it's still a lot to sift through). I'm going to just go by the Most Hits I have for the first 5, and then my favourite ones to write for the last 5

01. Sad Bedroom Eyes (Hope Mikaelson/Josie Saltzman) Summary: The Mikaelson family just got a new neighbour and Hope is absolutely smitten, much to her daughter's chagrin.

Hope was staring out the window, watching a tall pretty brunette with her tiny toddler out in the yard.

02. So I Swear That I'll Protect It (Hope Mikaelson/Josie Saltzman) Summary: With Malivore still a persistent threat, Josie expected nothing less than to fight the new monster of the week so close to high school graduation. However, what she didn't expect was an encounter with a mysterious teenager who's apparently her and Hope’s son from the future.

The clatter of utensils against plates is so meticulously loud that it unnerves Josie. Usually, it doesn't bother her and she can tune it out.

03. A Pokemon Fanfiction: Welcome Home, Ash (Satoshi | Ash Ketchum. Red) Summary: He's finally back home in Kanto with plans to visit his mother back in Pallet Town. However, there seems to be something Delia Ketchum is hiding from him. (Based off of my headcanon for the Ketchum family.)

The horn of the ship roared from the harbour. The platform was lowered and its passengers began to leave the ship one by one.

04. Kinks (Fem!Hinata Shouyou/Fem!Kageyama Tobio) Summary: Kageyama and Hinata tries out each other's kinks. Fem!KageHina smut.

05. You're Mine (Armin Arlert/Eren Yeager) *This is a Dead Dove: Do Not Eat fic Summary: Eren doesn’t like Armin’s new relationship with his rival. Possessive!Eren.

A young boy walked into his room and threw his belongings onto the floor.

06. Hold Me, Hold Me Like A Grudge (Hikari | Dawn/Shinji | Paul) Summary: Paul expected the start of the new school year was going to be like the previous years: him getting top marks in his class and being one step closer to graduating as valedictorian. What he didn't expect was an introduction of a new troublesome student who decided to barge into his life like a raging storm. (Ikarishipping Punk/Nerd AU)

Paul sat at his desk, his attention focused and ready for when class started.

07. do you think god knows you've been sneaking out of heaven (Lightning/Oerba Dia Vanille) Summary: Lightning gets to meet her favourite cam girl at the most inappropriate of times

The building was burning brightly and the smoke rose into the air quickly.

08. Legacysong (Hope Mikaelson/Josie Saltzman) Summary: Josie Laughlin and her twin sister Lizzie Laughlin moved to Mystic Falls, Virginia when they were fifteen with a secret they kept close to their hearts. But when she encountered Hope from the Mikaelson family, the secrets they tried to keep ended up spilling out, especially on the night of a full moon when Josie heard the raucous howls of wolves. (Hosie Green Creek AU)

The Mikaelson Pack are considered an enigma in the werewolf community.

09. Oh, Gatsby (Tom Buchanan/Jay Gatsby) Summary: Gatsby visits Tom and Daisy and ends up staying over. Tom is annoyed, claiming Gatsby is only here to win over his wife. But to Tom's surprise, it is not Daisy who Gatsby has his sights set on. (Originally written and posted on deviantArt June 2011)

Rain dripped heavily onto the pavement.

10. Did You Ever Have A Crush On Me? (Jed Tien/Landon Kirby) Summary: It all started off with an innocent question that led to coming out and talking about when they each realized they were bi. It was probably the deepest conversation Landon had ever had with Jed. So… How exactly did he end up in Jed's lap?

Wow that was quite something lmao. So for fics like Oh, Gatsby, You're Mine, Welcome Home, Ash, those I wrote many many many years ago (esp Oh, Gatsby. oh 16yrs old me and your weird little mind) so do mind the awkward writings there lmao.

I still feel very conflicted about You're Mine and have contemplated privatizing the fic since it was my first foray into some--at least what I consider--some fucked up dark shit even though technically it's off-screen and implied, but yeah, idk, we'll see. I honestly almost forgot I had this fic until I looked at my statistics for which fics had the most hits

Well this has been the most fun going through which fics of mine people were eagerly consuming as well as going through my works as a nostalgic memory-lane type of thing

Lightning wasn’t sure whether to laugh or cry. After weeks of putting up with Vanille writing scientific papers on why they would be the perfect couple, she’d finally decided to humour the other woman. If Vanille could beat her at golf, she’d go on a date with her. Sure, the redhead was good at golf, but Lightning was fantastic at it.

There was no way she could lose.

Until now.

Vanille had managed to stay close until the final hole. If Vanille could score a hole in one, then she’d win. Anything else would be a draw or a win for Lightning. And looking at the driving distance to the hole, there was no way Vanille would be able to get a hole in one. She’d struggle just to make the green.

“Are you ready to accept defeat?” Vanille asked, grinning.

Lightning raised one eyebrow. “Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that? You’ll be lucky to make the green, never mind get it into the hole. I’d say there’s about a 99.9999% probability of me winning.”

“Which means the probability of me winning isn’t zero.” Vanille took up her stance and prepared to swing. “Just remember, no weaselling out of our agreement. If I win, we go on a date.”

“Fine. Just swing already.”

Vanille swung her golf club.

The ball flew threw the air… well short of the green… only to strike a passing bird on the head. The bird gave an angry caw before grabbing hold of the ball, only to misjudge its height above the ground and plummet toward a water hazard. The bird fell into the water hazard… only to come bursting out of the water with the ball in one claw as an alligator leapt out of the water in a bid to snag itself some lunch.

However, the bird was far from safe. A much larger bird swooped down on it, and the bird gave a frantic squawk before jerking to the side. The ball dropped out of its claws and the larger bird caught it in its talons before winging away, circling around for another attempt before casually letting go of the ball as it dove.

The ball bounced once, twice, and then fell into the hole.

“…” Lightning stared. 

“Cool.” Vanille smiled sunnily. “It looks like I win. How’s Saturday evening for you?”

Lightning could only nod, still unable to form words.

Two years later, Averia was born.
