The amount of people whose password is about to become #SteveSteveSteveIheartSteve0704 is uncountable. And all because of one Agent Phil Coulson.
So, here’s the thing about the Nancy Drew s3 finale and why it hurts so much.
I’ve suffered through this before, with my all time favourte show/ship: Bones, and Booth and Brennan.
They did the same thing to us on season 4 finale. They gave us this dreamescape which basically hinted at Brennan Having Feelings, and we still had angst for 2 WHOLE EXTRA SEASONS (23 eps each!). And it made for 3 of the best seasons in the whole show.
And that was with the garantee that the show was renewed for new seasons… unlike Nancy Drew.
In the last few years, we’ve not seen this type of slow burn in media, since The Netflix Effect has shows rarely lasting longer than 3 (short) seasons… which forces to write a rushed ending for characters to please the audience.
Nancy Drew gave us a slowburn just like Logan and Veronica Mars, Castle and Beckett or Booth and Brenan gave us… but they don’t even know if they’ll be able to show us the complete arc… and that makes me want to cry.
One of my favourite things about watching Bones is the scenes where it’s just Brennan examining the bones, with some deep contemplation music in the background. They fill me with inner peace.
