“What’s the game?” Lin asked.

“Yes, what's the game?” Bumi seconded, focusing back in as he poured them all shots. “What’s it called? How’s it work? How drunk will it get Lin and if not at all can we rig it to ensure as much?”

“This brand of sake is centuries old and the game is too." Sorik answered them. "It's an old sailors' game.”

“Which means it’s raunchy.” Kya surmised, amused.

“Pass.” Lin droned flatly.

“No passing!" Bumi refuted.

“Game goes by the same name — Sea Princess." Sorik went on. "All the players take turns slinging shots of sea prune sake. One for each ‘Sea Princess’ they’ve had…encounters with. Last one left drinking is the winner. Whoever hasn’t run out of Sea Princesses to cite, essentially."

“Oh…" Bumi turned to Kya, wide eyed. "We're done for, sister.”

"You think!?" Kya said, extremely exasperated.

"you think i'm pretty?" "please, you know you're fucking gorgeous." comfort, hand holding, face touching. definitely not flirting. watching her sleep. breakfast in bed but only platonicly. tank top torture. more not flirting. more comforting and hand holding. legs on top of legs. "i love you, ky." "i love you too, linny." "i've missed you." "i've missed you too. so much." staring at mouths. drinking out of the same glass. "honey." "babe." picking her up. pressing her into a wall. just helping her with the fastens of her dress that's all. just touching her skin it's fine. "i want you." "i love you. and I can't lose you." sharing a room is going to be so normal. if i choke when she gets out of the shower that's also totally normal. getting naked in front of her but in an angry way. "just hold me anyway." so much comforting. hand kissing and spooning. throbbing is a totally acceptable friend feeling. "you're sweet when you're passionate." "you mean the world to me too." "the only thing that matters to me is you." "i love you." "i love you too." kissing all of her fingers. kissing her temple and her hair and the tears on her face. "i love you so much."

I've posted the newest chapter of 'Moonstone: Mist and Steel' early again as I'm going to have another busy week. I might need to adjust the posting dates for the next few chapters but rest assured that they will be published earlier than Wednesdays if anything else!

We are finally getting into the SWT chapters. There are five in total. I had only planned to post three before I got to the upcoming pause in chapters as I have not had the time to finish the rest of 'Book Two' yet. However, I am working on getting that final fifth finished so we can at least close out this arc before I need to break!

An unmistakable atmosphere of discontent and brooding was practically radiating throughout the close quarters. It sunk into the curated vibes of her morning meditation, clouding her headspace and prickling in her fingertips.

She opened one eye, ceasing the mindful measuring of her breaths, to glare at her pouty mouthed friend. 

“You said you wanted to come.” Kya barely got out before Lin was rising off her bed and pacing the room.

“I shouldn’t have come!” Lin growled out. "I haven't felt any kind of earth in three whole days! You couldn't have at least chosen a steel ship to the south!?"

"There's one ship!" Kya laughed, lightly incredulous.
