So I’ve finally restarted/continued/am catching up on the ORV webtoon before I do a reread of the novel and well, as always Kim Namwoon has completely invaded my brain and I can’t stop thinking about him. But, for some reason, I am also now thinking about Han Donghoon. It’s probably in part because they’re both massive reflections/parallels of KDJ and how he views his younger self. But anyways, these boys won’t leave me alone and I haven’t even gotten to Han Donghoon’s webtoon introduction yet.
And I don’t know if this is a crack ship or if people have been shipping it for a while but the romantic in me who loves queer love stories and writes BL is now shipping KNW and Han Donghoon. And like idk, I feel like they’d work. Like sure KNW is a delinquent/chuuni but he’s also an otaku and like based on the vibes he was giving in the Underworld he feels like a major nerd. And then Han Donghoon is confirmed as such a reclusive nerd that he can literally create wifi. Like they totally give asshole secret nerd/unapologetically nerdy guy (I know Han Donghoon has major anxiety so like probably not actually unapologetic but the vibe is still there).
Anyways, I have no clue where I’m going with this but KNW and Han Donghoon won’t leave me alone and if I’m still obsessing by the time I’ve made progress on one of my manuscripts I might have to actually write fanfic. Like I’m certain that I won’t be able to stop thinking about the relationship and vibe possibilities they could have in the 1865th turn and like if you add Lee Jihye in there you can have some angst. Like have her be their friend and make her have no romantic interest in KNW (could be because she’s a lesbian or literally just has no romantic interest in KNW. Tbh I don’t know if there’s a sexuality I headcanon her with 🤔). Then have KNW with his unrequited love being unable to get over LJH and not realizing Han Donghoon has been crushing hard ever since KNW accidentally stood up for him in some way or something. Like there are so many possibilities both for high school AUs and their time during the apocalypse.
Anyways this will undoubtedly not be the last of my KNW posting so beware my reignited obsession lol
ik im always saying that the orv fandom should stop going so hard for 1minute but im not doing myself any favours thinking too much about how kdj's first kill was kim namwoon (someone he identified with very strongly; someone he saw himself in; someone he couldn't bear to leave inside the story) and his last murder attempt was quite literally himself TWICE (through his fading away as the oldest dream and also literally trying to strike a younger version of himself). his first and last acts of violence are all against himself, and not even sacrificing himself so his companions might live but going above and beyond that. why is his self loathing so great adn his complete and utter disregard for his own life so immeasurable that he must do this every single time. ofc kdjc's came back for a silver of hope this man could be alright. bitch i would too

Orv will fucking grab onto you and slowly work its way into your nervous system, like istg this is not normal i have become like this, i am every character now.
So like the other day I caught myself thinking "woah older women who have power and influence and happiness and skill are so frickin cool i wish they kept me on a leash" also I kind of want a sword to go train in the forest like a little abandoned deciple searching for a master in the early Shang dynasty with my glorious partner and do yuri things, like dueling. I am no better than Lee Jihye.
And then I started thinking about evangelion again and shaking and exploding on the spot (as one does when thinking about Evangelion like cmon) and realized that i am also no better than Kim Namwoon. Oh I also got really groosly excited when I was gifted a fancy dagger a couple months back that I would never use in any scenario other than straight up the world becoming an orv battle scenario.
Smh, that day I also briefly considered jumping two fences to take a shortcut across a train track, I blame both of them for that. And then literally a minute after the mini Yoo Sangha (woah just like the the novel) in my head with all her infinite grace convinced me to "probably dont go there if you value your life a little more than being five minutes late", a train sped past me on the same tracks I was about to cross,
1 minute difference.
Morale of the story never listen to Kim Namwoon, like ever, like ever ever. Tbh I shouldve known better that mindset is literally how he died in the book.
Next thing I know im going to start streaming horror games with virtually no commentary, I mean I already read really shittish novels online and write bullshit stories, so maybe I can complete the loser trifecta.

“Kim Namwoon,” the salaryman hisses.
Kim Namwoon ignores him, grin sharpening across his face. “If that’s your thing, sure, whatever, kill whoever you want, but can you do it later? I’m just asking you to cross this bridge with us. It’s not like you can cross it by yourself, so if I’m giving you a ticket like this, shouldn’t you just take it nicely?”
“Kim Namwoon,” Yoo Joonghyuk starts. He doesn’t get far before Kim Namwoon does an about-face, dragging the salaryman in his wake.
“This scenario is timed!” Kim Namwoon calls. “If you want everyone dead, do your murder spree later!”
