Hi there. I write things (here's #my writing tag). The more complete stuff makes it onto AO3 (Lizhly). The rest of it ends up here, usually in wildly disconnected snippet form. I aspire to organize these snippets together and one day post them in cohesive works, but until then: here I am.
I write fanfiction and original fiction, which I am currently attempting to wrangle into masterposts. I have a masterpost tag (#liz's fabulous fic masterpost), but you can get to most of those by following the below links.
Fanfiction
For scum villain’s self-saving system fic, see this post. (completely up-to-date!)
For omniscient reader’s viewpoint fic, see this post (completely up-to-date!)
Original fiction
Actually got a lot under here that I haven't even tried to sort yet. Maybe check out #original fiction for a wider view of it. Have been on a otome isekai/transmigration kick for the last... wow, five years? So lately my writing has focused on that.
For transmigrated as the female lead’s villain fiance, see this post (unorganized as all fuck) (general tag: #transmigrated as the female lead's villain fiance)
the mirror records (coming eventually!) (is currently under like, 3 tags) (is NOT under the tag mirror records) (need to sort them out)
the dead man and the duke (coming eventually!) (is also currently under like, 3 tags)
I love talking about my writing. If anything intrigues you, my askbox is always open -- ask me anything, anytime.

i must say, i am a huge fan of when a book is in the middle of a very exciting plot containing many interesting problems when out of nowhere for a few pages it's like, "hey by the way, real quick, here's a detailed explanation of the city's water filtration system! i'm telling you this for a reason and you should worry about it. anyway! haha okay back to the plot" and you just get to be Scared for a while
@wizisbored @whimsicalmeerkat for wip wednesday, july 22 2026, in "salaryman x triad member". been a while, but hey, here we are. with a hospital discussion.
Wu Youxuan set his teeth against his wrist. ‘A conversation for adults’, what was that supposed to mean? Did the doctor really think the truth was too much for him?
Bullshit. He’d already been paying his dad’s medical bills. He already knew everything, so what was the point of leaving him out and calling his aunt instead? She’d only just shown back up in their lives. She didn’t know shit. Just because she was an adult didn’t mean that she was the one the doctor was supposed to talk to.
The doctor’s door opened. Wu Youxuan hastily straightened up. “Aunt.”
“Nephew,” Wu Yuxi said. Her expression was worryingly flat. Absently, she pulled a cigarette from her pocket. She didn’t light, just held it loosely between in her fingers. Just as well. You weren’t supposed to smoke in hospitals, anyway.
“What did the doctor say?” Wu Youxuan prompted.
“Think of this as a life lesson,” Wu Yuxi said.
“... What?”
Wu Yuxi exhaled softly. The cigarette drifted closer to her mouth. “You can’t hold onto everything. Sometimes, there’s no point in trying. At some point, you have to let go.”
That... that wasn’t... that...
That had a very clear meaning.
“... Aunt. What did the doctor say.”
Wu Yuxi tilted her head up, gaze directed more towards the ceiling than at Wu Youxuan. “Nephew is a smart boy. Take a guess.”
my favorite thing abt moshang and shang qinghua specifically is that he's genuinely so fond of mobei jun, as a writer. he loves mobei jun so so profoundly, he's so proud of himself for writing him, for bringing him to life, for making him exist. the happiest shang qinghua has ever come across in the books was when he thought abt mobei jun as his character and how he told him how sincerely happy he was that he got to meet and spend time with him and finally when he admitted to himself, "it's just, it's just...it was just that he really, very much liked this story he'd written."

procrastinating by experimenting with writing/narration styles, here you go
... What kind of crazy bastard would do this?
Yeah, I had to ask. The kind of person who would leave this much gold on the ground must be insane. It was piled up so high that my foot would sink up to my ankle in it if I tried walking through.
I looked down at it. Half of it was coins, but the other half was jewelry. Rings, bracelets, necklaces, whatever. None of it my style. It was probably fake. After all, who would leave actual real gold lying around like this?
A crazy bastard. That’s who.
You might set this up for a shoot, but the effort it’d take to gather up actual real gold would be insane. It’s the kind of thing that’d be done either by a CEO with more money than brains, or a CEO who had so much money that it didn’t matter what a waste all of this was.
... Hey, in that case, wouldn’t they still have more money than brains? How much does a human brain cost, anyway?
... Can money even buy you a brain? Damn, if it did, the maknae probably wouldn’t tell me to exercise my own so much, right?
... Whatever. Anyway.
Some people might say it was my responsibility to take some of this. I could check if any of it was real, and if it was -- hey, I could bring it home. After all, I was the head of the household, you know? Of course I had to provide. If I had all of this, then all of my younger brothers/sons/whatever wouldn’t beg me for allowance money. I could stake all of this instead of cleaning out my own bank account whenever we did events.
But I had a feeling. Something felt off.
Seriously, what crazy bastard would actually leave all of this lying around?
I trusted my gut. Actually, I didn’t even need to trust my gut. Everyone else would probably think it was weird, right? Didn’t it totally look like a trap? I could imagine it now. They’d say something like --
“Aaaahhh!!! It’s cursed! It’s totally cursed! Hyung, don’t you think it’s weird? You watch movies, don’t you, hyung??? This kind of thing happens in movies!!! If you see that much money in the dead of night, isn’t it completely and utterly cursed???”
Let’s ask again. What kind of crazy bastard would do something like this?
“...You think I did this?”
“... Didn’t you?”
It turned out Kim Dobin thought the crazy bastard was me.
I was speechless. No, I was worse than speechless. I felt like I was so shocked I couldn’t even blink properly. My eyes were already getting dry.
No, wait, fake youngest, why would you think I did this? Why would I have this much gold? Why all of this jewelry? Isn’t this more of a random pirate hoard rather than anything I actually like?
Sensing my disbelieving gaze, Kim Dabin scratched the bridge of his nose awkwardly. “Isn’t this all your royalty fee money?”
Was that supposed to make sense?
“Hey, why would this be the money I get from royalties? Do you think they pay me with gold bricks and necklaces? Does the company pay you in gold instead of direct deposit?”
Kim Dobin waved his hands around wildly. “No! It’s not that! It’s just... haven’t you ever heard of the concept of filling a pool with gold and swimming around in it, luxuriating in the smell of money?”
I didn’t understand the younger generation.
In the first place, I didn’t read manga or watch anime, but even if I did, would this sort of thing really be understandable?
“Luxuriating in the smell of money? Lux-ur-i-a-ting? In the smell of money?”
“... I mean... it’s the money you got from your music... it makes sense to enjoy it, right...?”
“Here? Randomly? In the middle of the night? Like this? Now?”
“Well...”
From the way Kim Dobin was thinking, it seemed that he had some issues with his head. I felt the urge to resolve it with a refreshing scalp massage, but considering the situation, I refrained. Kim Dobin could obediently receive his scalp massage later.
Instead, I opened my mouth benevolently, intent on correcting the misconceptions of this poor child.
“Why would I waste my money like that! Why would I waste my time like that! What have you been reading???”

hello, welcome to "triad guy listens to his ex's sister's monologue"
“I really don’t understand it, you know?” Chen Lihua said. “Why my brother holds on to someone like you.”
What was Wu Youxuan even supposed to say to something like this?
Chen Lihua didn’t seem to care. She kept talking anyway, each syllable of her words perfectly precise, eyes sharp and intent on Wu Youxuan.
“I mean, really. If someone breaks up by text-only, they’re already trash. Then what about you, who runs away without even sending a break up text? That makes you worse than trash, doesn’t it? In that case, shouldn’t you be thrown away quickly?”
“... It’s not like I understand your brother, either.”
Chen Lihua smiled brightly. “Ah, then we think the same way? In that case, how about you leave quickly? I’ll send you an early lunch box, so please go on with your life.”
“...”
“What? Nothing to say? I want to make myself clear, I just think you should have drawn the line cleanly. Just straightforwardly tell A-Wei you want nothing to do with him. If you can’t even do that, then you should have never shown your face to him in the first place. Just stay dead, okay?”
“... Do your fans know that you speak like this?”
“Hmm, well? Does that matter? Are you planning on telling them?”

i'm thinking about idol novels now. shouldn't someone like me, who has never watched a kpop video in their entire life, be less involved?
i'd like to contribute to fandom, but honestly, i don't actually know what to do with idols except either write a crossover or throw them into death games...? i feel like i live in the wrong genre...
anyway currently i'm contemplating writing a scene where my triad member guy and his ex-boyfriend's sister end up in the same gang meeting and they're just eyeing each other like what are YOU doing here aren't you a completely normal PA/actress 🤨
At Chen Lihua’s casually amused remark, Wu Youxuan spun around. Just like her brother, she met his pissed-off expression with a face that said this was the best thing she’d seen all week.
“What are you doing here?” Wu Youxuan hissed.
If Wu Youxuan had to run into someone he didn’t want to face, it should have been Chen Liwei. Not that he was aiming for it, but at least it would have made sense. Chen Liwei had a terrible habit of trying to follow Wu Youxuan around. But Chen Lihua, of all people?
Chen Lihua smiled, annoyingly bright. “I could ask the same of you, you know? Aren’t you a PA? Liwei said you were a PA now. What does an PA do in a gang meeting?”
“You’re an actress, what does an actress do in a gang meeting?”
Chen Lihua shouldn’t have been here. There was no reason why Chen Lihua should be smiling like she was in a fan meetup instead of a situation she could be killed.
“Hmm, well, who knows? Someone like you should know well, shouldn’t you?”
“... Someone like me.”
“You know. A PA, right? That’s what you’re doing?”
“Chen Lihua--”
“I think A-Wei would be very interested to know about this?”
anyway if you've been wondering what i've been doing for the past week, i've been reading idol novels, much to the detriment of almost literally everything else in my life.
