Hm, Nine Tail!Izumo x Demon Half!Rin?

Yes, I think the clash of their issues would be so intriguing. Izumo's kind of similar to Ryuji in the sense that her parent hasn't always done right by her, and even though his criticisms of his father are completely valid, Rin projects his own issues into the situation and then literally inserts himself into it. This is only in my opinion, but I think the bias Rin has showed itself somewhat when Mike was re-telling Izumo's past; to me, it seemed he was trying to ignore the parts of how Izumo's mother failed her.
It's kind of hard to say what Rin felt over Tamamo since we don't see much of that sadly. We get him remembering Shiro sacrificing himself to save him when Tamamo does that, but that's about it. I think he would totally argue with Izumo that her mother wasn't that bad given what he knows of course. He wasn't there for the immature woman who pushed parenting off onto Mike and Uke because she had this "dream" that souji would come live with them one day and they'd be the perfect family.
It would for sure be something they'd have to work through since, while Izumo has softened on her mother. She's still going to have problems and it'll take time for them to heal. This is something that would cause problems because to Rin, Tamamo kind of did her job. She saved Izumo, she's alive because of her. She couldn't have been that bad right? It's something I could totally see blowing up in his face real early on for sure.
Genderbent ♀♡♀ rizumo 👀👀? How do you envision genderbent Rin? I think Kato made a official genderbent version of Rin and several other characters, but I'm curious if you have your own take.
Oh I Imagine it starts out as a big mess of sorts given how Izumo is at the start. Like fem!Rin is the type that would go directly to Izumo when she's bullying Shiemi, and I see it ending in a fist fight between them lol. Rin comes out on top obviously, but is impressed that Izumo is that much of a fighter herself. It's a definite slow burn, if I were to sit down and play around with it more, neither would realize their feelings until around the blue night arc.
As for fem!Rin she'd be different, but still Rin in a sense. A more masculine type girl compared to Izumo or Shiemi, which is something she'd be worried about. The only "feminine" thing she's decent at is cooking. I love the idea she starts to grow her hair out at the start given she's trying to turn over a new leaf, trying to be a bit more "girly" before she slowly figures herself out. There's a lot to her that would overall change quite a bit of the series. It'd be a fun fic to sit down and write one day.

What attracted Rizumo to you as a ship? I started shipping Rin with Izumo after the Naberius incident.
Her thing about vulnerability with Rin was so interesting, since she was more upset that he saw her cry than seeing her semi-naked (I haven't read the chapters in a while, so maybe I'm wrong on that). Very Jed Marshall in The Night Manager.
Do you ship Rin with anyone else? I think Paku is the only girl in the series who explicitly said she thought that Rin was cute/cool, so I find potential in them as a pairing. Their meetup in the alternate universe/future seems super interesting as well.
When I was re-reading the series, it clicked for me there but didn't become as solid until the beginning of the Kyoto arc with how she sat next to him on the train. That little huff and flopping down, to show that the others are being stupid and he's nothing to be afraid of, really sparked what I liked about them.
Izumo's trust issues in general are what get me interested. Rin is a very trusting person, he's never been betrayed in a sense like Izumo was when he was young. It's something they'd bump heads over a lot when it comes to her issues, and I like drama associated with that. I also enjoy how much of a mess Rin kind of is. He's a good guy at heart, but he kind of runs away from his issues and that would be a total disaster with someone like Izumo. Having them work that out, taking the time to figure out their problems, and maybe fixing it fascinates me. I also like couples who can bicker, and where one is a bit meaner than the other half.
I do ship Rin with others! lol he's another of my fandom bicycles that I like playing with sometimes. Rin/Paku is a cute one that I find interesting, I actually have a fic where it's an eventual Rin/Paku but I haven't had much motivation to work on it. I've been buys with other projects. But the other ship I like with Rin overall is RenRin with Renzo Shima, or I guess RinRen since I do tend to put Rin on top more lol. I like how Renzo is as a character over all, and way he plays out. Especially around Rin. I also tend to some how always fall into a OT3 with RinIzumoRenzo because I love them together. They're a good mix if that makes sense.
Who's the needier kisser between Izumo and Rin, in your opinion?
Hm, I've never thought about that before lol. Ahh I'm of the opinion it'll depend on the situation, but Rin might be the needier one more often. He's got the energy of needing physical touch a lot, which I think is cute personally. Not that Izumo wouldn't have her moments either lol

These AUs are mostly just for my own enjoyment, but maybe if time permits, I'll do something with them but for now they just chill in my notes.
RinShi mermaid AU where Satan is some local demonic sea god and after 15 years he crawls out of the pit where he's sealed to collect Rin. Rin gets unsealed in the process, turns into a really angry and emo mermaid sea monster, and then washes ashore Shiemi's beach garden where they realize they know each other and Rin reconnects with his humanity. Shiro goes missing, and some other stuff happens where Rin unravels what happened between Satan and Yuri and there's lots of secrets and angst that I really wish was already written so I can read it for myself smh.
Rizumo fantasy royalty AU where Rin is a secret prince and Izumo (who fully intends on unleashing the Nine-Tails on everyone to find her sister) is secretly wedded to him as a sick joke i mean as part of a very sophisticated plan by Mephisto! I mentioned this in the demon king ask. It's actually more of an Izumo story though because I wrote it thinking, what if Rin and Izumo never met each other? What if Izumo was never there to encourage and teach Rin about being part-demon? What if Rin was never there to help Izumo save her family and herself from Gedouin's experiments?
AU where Instead of Astaroth, Amaimon is the one who gets to be the one to finally push Rin into breaking his seal. It's very PWP, Punching Without Plot.
AU where in the future timeskip, the Illuminati takes over True Cross, but Rin and his friends fight back while pretending to be "Demon King" and it's not at all as depressing as Kato had it TToTT I drew it as a comic here
Kyoto Saga AU where Sheimi didn't get to go inside the impenetrable jail and Rin busted himself out after Losing It™. Demon Rin gets to have some screen time <3 He does end up getting rid of the Impure King but at what cost hm...
