i always thought of nyx and iris as very background characters, but if they appeared in csm canon they’d probably appear maaybe in reze arc, but mostly in international assassins arc. knowing them during reze arc they’d probably be sharing a drink somewhere, watching denji get pingponged in the sky by reze and commenting like it’s entertainment.

in international assassins arc they’d be there mostly to support the whole “ don’t let chainsaw get assassinated “ thing, nyx would find it amusing that denji has this many assassins like he’s a celebrity. i don’t know if i want to include them in the hell devil part 💭 they seem like they’d narrowly miss it (and also miss character development that might come with it)

as for fics uhh. ummm. uhh ive only ever written and completed 1 fic ever.. i only have like 1 sentence in a google doc labelled “ iryx “ 💔💔💔 , i was intending to write one …

🥹🥹🥹 ill probably try to finish it though, it just goes over iris and nyx’s routine and the mundane moments in their otherwise life or death job.

iris, who sleeps on nyx’s couch with his coat strewn over it, nyx who habitually clears the clutter of bottles on the coffee table before iris wakes up. iris who has to be dragged to his feet by nyx to go to work. nyx who tosses iris a fresh uniform (he didn’t realise his closet had become iris’s too), iris who doesn’t eat or drink a single thing by the time they’re out the front door. smoke from nyx’s cigarette that floods the car with it’s smell and out the window as they have their morning bicker …

iris who wants to take a detour, who averts his eyes when they encounter makima, and nyx who gives him a side glance.

the ramen shop they love, the fancy high-end restaurants nyx likes to try out, the bars that are never up to Iris’s standards, the hole-in-the-wall cafes, where they can get along for just a moment and not address anything important.

💭 actually i have thoughts on iris and nyx’s thoughts on the canon csm cast + takara. id imagine iris is really uncomfortable and unnerved with makima, while Nyx doesn’t take it seriously because he sees makima as a pretty capable and put together boss.
