"what do you use to make moodboards?" i use canva with a 3×3 preset, and pinterest for the pictures i use!
"do you do fictionkin moodboards?" yes, i do! any alterhuman identity can request :)
"where did you get the theme for my moodboard?" most often, if not given a theme in the request, ill either use the habitat of the animal or (if possible) look on your blog to find an aesthetic you like!
"can/will you do blood/possibly disturbing content?" yes! as long as it's not explicit, sexual, or illegal, im fine with using things like blood, meat, liminal spaces, etc in my moodboards. i will put those underneath a warning though, for others that may not be comfy!
"do you do ockin/questioning kin/fictionkin/songkin/etc?"
absolutely. no one is excluded! as long as in comfortable making the board, there's no problem.

A depiction of what it feels to be in-between shapes, and where I like to imagine myself in this awkward form.
Most days I feel like a weird amalgamation of body parts that don't fit into the body I have. An ever changing mass of limbs, shifting and distorting, trying to shape itself into something it physically cannot. I overcompensate for my movements, lowering my posture as if ready to drop on all fours, I duck my head an extra depth to fit my ears below an obstacle, adjust the way I sit to make space for my tail or walk on my toes to acclimate to the feeling of paws.
Some days my phantom sensations are so strong that I feel it in my entire body. It is so physically distressing to viewing a body does not match the sensation or move in the way that it should. It can be emotionally difficult to move my body and sometimes | feel stuck, unable to move at all. It is an uncomfortable disconnection between mind and body.
Lately l've found drawing the physical sensations of my phantom shifts to be quite therapeutic and healing - especially in those moments I feel stuck. I feel as though this is a big jump in my digital art capability too, I'm very proud of this one! 🐾

We should talk more about how much alterhumanity overlaps with neurodivergence because its like... a LOT. I've seriously met almost no completely neurotypical alterhumans.
This post was inspired by me realizing that what I've been thinking of as "stress shifts" were actually overstimulation/sensory overload and the reason that I lose the ability to speak human language in overwhelming situations and can just, like, snarl at people, is only partially because im a dog.
adding onto this-- several of my kintypes directly link to my neurodivergence, and even other mental illnesses!! for example, my rabbit kintype always exists, but I experience heightened shifts when im anxious or overstimulated. communicating through growls, hisses, ear movement, and tail movement is much more appealing to me than the neurotypical social norms of humans. I could add MUCH more (and I might later), but I thought I'd tag onto this as an audhd therian :3

do you have an updated guide on how you make moodboards? the one in your pinned post doesn't seem to really work since canva has changed so much unless it's just my end that's being weird :[ i can't find the cloud one
hi!! the format of canva has changed in some really funky ways, but I was still able to find the cloud template-- ill show you how >:33 (below cut!!)
start here-- click Templates and search 3x3 photo grid!! once you search it, you'll have these 2 drop-downs:
on Category, search "square". scroll down a bit and there should be an option called Instagram Post. that's the one I used! on Style, select "grid" from the list. this'll filter all the templates better! scroll down past all the premium stuff andddd
voila!! this is the specific name for it, which should help you find it :3 you can star it to make sure you don't lose it!! for what it's worth, at this point I just make copies of the same moodboard over and over to replace the images on /silly
