for the past month or so i've noticed a divot in my skin/fat above my right butt cheek. i didn't pay much attention to it because i assumed it was one of those "back dimples" since that's where it would normally be. it did seem weird that there wasn't another one to match on the opposite side though. recently it's gotten deeper (about the size of a golf ball) and i googled what it could be. the first link hit it right on the nail. i had a kenalog steroid injection around june for my allergies. it's an inter muscular injection given RIGHT ABOVE THE BUTT CHEEK. turns out it causes atrophy of the subcutaneous tissue under the skin. translation: my fat cells at the injection site are shrinking/dying. i'm debating whether or not to go to a doctor about it. i guess it depends how big it gets. i knew the steroid had side effects, i just didn't expect this.
