My Top 100 Ships of All Time:

Ships that still hit me as hard as the first time, to whom I will always come back, even decades later, because their interaction actually is one big reason for me to relive the media they are in. Those are the ones on this list. It was a tough, because I know pretty much everything, thank you very much, so only a 100? And what about those I forgot to put on this list, or I left off on purpose because I didn’t have pictures or because they didn’t quite make it into the first 100? Don’t some of them deserve to me on here more than other? Once you are through the first twenty you don’t care about that anymore and decide to double down on this list. So this is me doubleing down hard. I love those ships, so here they come.

I always find it kind of funny when people claim that the Original "Hunger Games"-Trilogy is a typical YA Dystopian Love Triangle Story. For many reasons, but one of them is the supposed Love Triangle, because Katniss literally spends all her time thinking about surviving and has no time to think about love, has no idea that Gales like her for the longest time and does not even realize that she is in love with Peeta for pretty much the majority all three books. The so-called triangle is mainly her realizing she can choose, but never actually getting to it, because by the time she could Gale has taken himself out of the race due to bad decisions leading to unforseen consequences that Katniss could never forget, so after that it is Peeta and that's it. But I think we can all agree it was always going to be Peeta. I mean both guys loved her, but there is a certain difference between the way she feels about Peeta and the way she feels about Gale. There are many kinds of love after all. Someone once said that in the movies Katniss has the choice between her movie boyfriend - Gale - and her movie girlfriend - Peeta, and since she is the protagonist in an action movie, a role that stil tends to be male coded most of the time, of course it would be the girlfriend coded character she would end up, wouldn't it? We all knew at the moment she "realized she could keep him", what she didn't realize herself: That Peeta Mellark had managed to sneak himself into her heart. And would stay there forever.

On the night I feel that thing again, the hunger that overtook me on the beach, I know this would have happened anyway. That what I need to survive is not Gale's fire, kindled with rage and hatred. I have plenty of fire myself. What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The bright yellow that means rebirth instead of destruction. The promise that life can go on, no matter how bad our losses. That it can be good again. And only Peeta can give me that. So after, when he whispers, "You love me. Real or not real?" I tell him, "Real.”

Redeem the skullcrawlers as a whole and break the vicious cycle they're all stuck with. Because if Keeta can be good, then what's stopping the rest of their kind from becoming beneficial to the world as well? If skullcrawlers are inherently evil, then logically, Keeta shouldn't exist at all, but here they are. They know that it won't be easy to do, but that doesn't mean it's impossible, and that if they don't try, then no one else will.

Rodan would be very cautious for Keeta's safety, but is ultimately supportive of their goals. Viv, Godzilla, and Mothra would be in the same boat as Rodan. San would be very sympathetic with Keeta's goal there, seeing that he was also similarly judged as inherently evil just because he was part of Ghidorah, and would want Keeta to succeed with that.

And then there's Kong, who definitely won't be pleased at all if he ever finds out about this, especially if Keeta already has a small but very loyal pack (which has steadily increasing members over time) by the time he's heard of it. He (wrongfully) thinks that Keeta has finally become the threat he always feared they will become once they reached adulthood, and that he will watch his tribe of apes be slaughtered by skullcrawlers all over again. If it weren't for Suko constantly trying to convince him otherwise, he would've declared war on Keeta and their pack (as well as all skullcrawlers in general) right then and there.

Though even then, Kong would definitely look for even the smallest reason to start exterminating skullcrawlers once again if he ever gets the chance to do so. And Suko is afraid of what Kong's inability to let go of the past is doing to him, because at the moment, the way Kong would look and speak of Keeta (and skullcrawlers in general) with pure hatred is all too uncomfortably familiar with how the Skar King would look and speak of when it came to the surface world.

Keeta has a good ambition, apparently enough to gain a pack of loyal Skullcrawlers, though I wonder just how effective they are at redeeming their own species considering Keeta is a unique specimen, having been genetically altered by Apex to not suffer the huge metabolism natural to 'crawlers and presumably the nastier effects of this, on top of being raised with care and love. Unaltered Skullcrawlers if left unchecked could wipe out Skull Island's ecosystem, after all.

Of course, maybe Keeta doesn't realize just how different they are compared to the average 'crawler, but it doesn't stop them from trying anyway; they naturally sympathize with their own species and feel bad for how skeletal and unhealthy normal 'crawlers look, so it's only natural that they want to enact positive change no matter the difficulty.

I’d really like to write one shots and so on for my fav ships, but I personally am barely keeping my head above water with credit card payments and my student loan payments, so I’ve seen others doing this so I’d just decided to clench my teeth and try it for myself. But I’m going to do commissions for my writing.
