OH..MY GOD..ok so when i hatched my aether Alexandria and I noticed her Carrot secondary I was like..this feels familiar. I just thought of my banescale Rauscher who also has a carrot secondary, but funny coincidences happen and it's a nice shade of orange.

But I just posted my undertide Bal in dragon share and realized. Her tert is Carrot. That was also why it felt familiar..then i realized. Do I have a Carrot Representative for every ancient??? I remembered I had my Gaoler Keepsie, who is Navy/Carrot/Carrot, but surely I don't have any Aberrations with Carrot..well. Betony has an orange range tert, but that had to be Sunset or something...

Pibb!! Ok so, some years ago I was in a car driving through a city I had rarely been to, and saw a department store named Peebles, which jumped out at me. I filed it in the back of my head as just a really funny name to use at some point. I didn’t even have FR at the time i don’t think haha, but years later it did occur to me as a name that would be good to use for a dragon. None of the dragons I had seemed to fit the vibe though, and then someone on tumblr wanted name suggestions for a colorful Bogsneak so i tossed in Peebles since it didn’t seem like I’d be using it any time soon. And they liked the name and used it :D aaaand then l got this funky Ridgeback who I realized would have been great for the name. I didn’t want to use a name that I had just given to someone else, but I really did like the sounds in it so I had to think of how I could use the name without using the name, and Pibb ended up being what I went with! Got the fun consonants, but all condensed. and it’s a weird soda brand, which came to define her hahah. Pibb is indeed Xtra..

also i realize now, the name Peebles also lives on in Greeble sdfds that wasn’t planned at all

Keepsie! Ok so, at one point in my life due to work, I was seeing and typing the city name Poughkeepsie over and over. In my head, I thought about how shortening the name to Keepsie sounded kind of fun (even though it didn’t reflect how the city name is actually pronounced, which tbh I think added to the appeal to me), and I ended up adding that to my list of potential dragon names yes i keep a list of that, and thought it’d especially work for a Gaoler given that one of their lore roles was called Keeper... So after adding the name to my list, I ended up using it for the next gaoler I bought :D i also like that it sounded like the word ‘keepsies’ which is cute dafasd
