🌊 What’s the hardest thing for you to draw?
ghhhhh , drags my hands down my face because it's faces , but there's a few reasons for that . 1. i am not very confident in rendering faces realistically . my understanding of the planes of the human face is very EH , and that is the consequence of shoddy basic fundamentals that i have not taken the proper diligence to fix . for whatever reason , faces are way harder for me to break down and memorize the components of than like . . . the entire bone and muscle structure of a horse , or the mechanisms of a car , or whatever .
2. i am forever at war regarding how i even want to draw faces . i frequently jump around in a very volatile fashion between how i want to stylize them and am never satisfied for very long . this is partially because of the first point , since jumping ahead to trying to breaking the rules ( stylize ) before understanding the rules ( fundamentals ) makes it that much more difficult to be consistent , but also ‘ i just want to draw my dumb OCs and fanart noooooow ): ‘ - said me , for the past 13 years .
^ seen , me bouncing between sort of weeb shit to extreme weeb shit within like. ... .. two weeks . maybe i don’t want to deal with noses and lips actually . ever think about that , god ?
🌗 Is night or day better for drawing?
up until recently i would have said night , because historically i have always preferred being awake at night / very early morning , and feel more creative / unburdened when basically no one else is awake because no feelings of expectations wheeeee~ for the past few decades my sleep schedule has constantly rotated forward a few hours every couple of days , and i didn’t feel like my internal clock really worked on a 24 hour schedule . but with recent medication changes , that is no longer the case because i now take stuff that wakes up me and gets my brain working in the morning / middle of the day , and stuff that makes me drowsy at night . so ..... i guess for long as i keep being responsible with that , the day time is drawing time lol .
