Ganesha, known as Kangiten/ "Bliss-God" in Japanese, has a very interesting depiction Japan. Embracing his female counterpart in a gentle hug known as Soshin Binayaka.
It is the only form I have come across where Ganesha and his shakti Vinayaki are depicted together, let alone in such a yab-yum embrace. I could go on for quite sometime about the history and tantric meaning and all that but suffice to say I find it endearing.
To that end I commissioned a more Indian depiction of the scene with both deities wearing traditional garb and carrying traditional implements. Their free hands now giving the blessing gesture with prayers etched above them.

Here’s the first part of the new Take Back The City Event: It’s antagonists are Law themed and angels. Kangiten summons the protagonist to aid him in freeing the people of the Angels control, as they oppressed them to the point they’ve used a mystical sword to strip them of all free will. Since this goes against the natural state of achieving enlightenment via willing asceticism as a choice, Kangiten wants the angels leader Seraph overthrown.
Well, Kangiten certainly isn't the easiest figure to work into one of these episodic narratives, but it's heartening to know that a cool sword is involved.
