But dollzi is a ship i find interesting because it's basically the exact opposite. unless we're talkin a nothing bad happens au where theyd be close according to liam, theyre a fucking MESS from start to finish of the show and never get their issues resolved. Doll is too consumed by her anger and grief that she pushes everyone away, and Uzi hasn't had any real reason to like doll since she was participating in bullying her for years. They're messy and if you took them as they were in their last canon moments and put them in a relationship, it'd probably explode within a few minutes. It's just so neat to me how messy they are but also just how easily i could see Something happening between them. They're probably the only people who could TRULY understand eachother.

They both lost their parents when they were young, doll literally and uzi also literally for one but figuratively for the other, they both inherited the solver from their mother and had to live with the consequences of their parents actions, they both grew up isolated, they;re probably the closest people theyd have to understanding eachother. But they were never able to in canon because of the choices they both made.

Doll made the choice to self-isolate and push everyone away in her focus on vengeance while Uzi chose to reach out to people and try to make a positive change in her life. Doll wallowed in self pity while Uzi put in the effort. It's really interesting to have the only two characters who could understand eachother never be able to because of the choices they made

and dont even get me started on how messy doll actually growing to CARE for uzi makes everything to. How dolls want to not hurt Uzi makes things so much more interesting because now there's a part of her that DOES want something besides revenge but shes so far up her own ass that she still doesnt go for it because she thinks doing it alone is the only way. And if she just stopped that they probably couldve made amends. I mean, look at lizzy! she also tried to kill uzi and bullied her for years, but she chilled the fuck out after episode 3 and while her and uzi arent friends theyre not enemies either. If doll just chilled out and helped uzi shed be alive and possibly even friends after a buncha effort! but she just kept going her way or the highway despite her care for uzi. not even mentioning that care only happening after seeing herself more in uzi when she gets the solver.

It's just... its messy and complicated and interesting and that makes the possibility of a post-canon "doll lives in some way" au where doll finally gives into that spark of care she had and puts in the effort to be friends with Uzi, if not more, so fucking interesting and satisfying to me. I wanna see Doll put in the effort to make amends and I want to see Uzi be averse to it at first but start to realize she cares about doll now and wants to be friends with the only person who's gone through the same things she has.

Wrote my first fanfic in 4 and a half years, and my first fanfic for murder drones ever! Really proud of it, would love if you guys gave it a read.

Dollzi au where Doll also ends up in Uzi's tail alongside Cyn and they actually talk for the first time post "Doll finding out Uzi has the solver" and Doll starts doing these sorta surface level apologies for the things she did without really GETTING what she did wrong (basically just "sorry i tried to kill you lol") while trying to say she cared for uzi so uzi just TEARS into her, basically throwing everything she did wrong in her face and how she had every opportunity to go on the right path but refused it every time, and especially tears into that supposed care for her and how self-centered it was especially.

and by tears into her i mean TEARS into her, like shes getting MAD mad, probably even shakes the tail like N did in fight til im good enough. And instead of responding, Doll just… Leaves. The lights on her tail go back to yellow and Cyn comes back (probably saying something stupid) which just pisses Uzi off even MORE. She just ran away, refused to even acknowledge what she was saying.

And she's gone for a WHILE now, hiding herself in Uzis code, hell, even if Uzi convinced Cyn to try to find her, she wouldn't be able to. It's like this for a couple weeks, Uzi having to deal with Cyn's bullshit as usual, until suddenly Cyn freezes for a moment and the yellow fades back into red.

Uzi's probably pissed off immediately, expecting some defense of herself from Doll or even just her acting like that never happened. But that's not what happens. Doll… Genuinely apologizes. She apologizes for the hell she put Uzi through before she found out about the solver. She apologizes for refusing her help at the prom. She apologizes for that selfish source of her care especially since that was probably what pissed Uzi off the most. She doesn't apologize for everything, like the countless people she killed without real reason without even remembering their names, but it's a start.

Uzi's taken aback by that obviously, she didn't expect anything like that from her. But it kinda hits her then that not ALL of the care was selfish. Doll could've killed N and especially V right there they were literally unconscious and defenseless, like just one knife to the core and it could've been over, but she… doesnt. She coudlve killed Khan too, she killed a drone for walking in front of her at the prom. But she doesn't.
