Headcanons of Shivani and Parvati parenting Vinayaki :3
Sksjsjddj haven't given this much thought so might be few but
— ✨ DANCE BATTLES ✨ Ok not like battles but they do dance together as a family, with music and flowers and all. It's really cute. Though most of the time Vinayaki get's sidelined because Shivani and Parvati just can stop starring at eachother T_T
— something Kailash equivalent of movie nights. Yeah that's definitely on their list.
— Vinayaki loves food ofcourse so she and Parvati obviously have baking time together. Shivani sometimes joins in sometimes she just watches them from afar :3
— Vinayaki makes all of them cute cute making charms bracelets, with stones shells and idk flowers but charms? Yeah also she makes them of her other siblings too.
(also im adding a bit of the others too)
— Ashokasundari and Vinayaki are those besties sisters who share EVERYTHING with eachother, and Parvati loves to braid both of their hairs :3 while the three of them gossips. (don't ask me how Vinayaki have hair just imagine she has for the plot purpose ok!!) AND SOMETIMES LAKSHMI JOINS THEM YEAH
— Shivani and Vinayaki have something like a musical concert kind off, where they just play all types of instruments from Veena of Khartal and all. Initially the idea was Saraswati's and she sometimes joins them too, but other than that it's just the two of them.
— Well ofc Vinayaki loves to play pranks on them. Somedays they will wake up with Parvati's hair turned pink or Shivani's jata having glitters in them. She also loves to play those pranks on Kartik... the only one she never pranks is Ashok, bcz that's his sister uwu.
— both Parvati and Vinayaki loves to question Shivani about anything and everything, and Shivani loves to answer them. It's kinda like a game, they would give her some puzzles or riddles and she'd answer them correctly each and every time.
— Nandi is the official babysitter ofc, not really but Ashok and Vinayaki both loves to play with him. They do his makeup change my mind 🗿
— They tried that on Vasuki too, bit he got scared aftwr the first two or three times, because Vinayaki kept on pranking him, so now he just watches from the side.
— Ganga is that disco aunty, and Vinayaki looooves her :3 like they'd be singing the weirdest songs in the highest voices to annoy everyone. This especially annoys Shivani and Chandra idk why.
Couldn't think of anything else 😭 so take this much for now

Decided to upload one of my Pokemon Tales teams drawings from DeviantART here on Tumblr to share :D. So, this is my Galar team lineup (and I plan to be drawing more up to date drawings of the other team members and uploading them here too. Some other information can be found here. :) https://www.deviantart.com/duckyworth/gallery/28369217/pokemon
I’ve also tried working in some more darker and deeper elements into these characters in their bios. (I also noticed that for as snarky and rough as this team can be... a lot of them seem to be carrying much more emotional baggage too. )
So, from left to right, we have:
Ziggy the Male Cinderace – A rather sassy, stylish, swift and smooth talking individual, Ziggy was the unofficial mascot of a local football club before being adopted by Callum and his team, mainly being supervised by Sassy the Lopunny and Bolt the Manectric, who took notice of him as a Scorbunny for his athletic ability and his…. Dubious reputation of being a troublemaker in his old club, often talking the other members of the club into either getting valuable berries for him, smack talking them or being a general nuisance. With the team having a reputation of taking in former Team Skull member Acrid the Incineroar and putting her on the (for the most part) straight and narrow and turning the former criminal into a valued asset to the team, the club owner agreed to let Callum adopt him and train him. Ziggy accepted to join when he realised that the Galar championship would be taking them through the various cities of Galar, which he believed would help him look for something very important to him.
Unlike fellow former ne’er-do-well Acrid the Incineroar, who is trying to control her temper but is rather quick to lash out, and has learned to channel her anger into her strong attacks, and used her time in Team Skull to mainly build up her strong body, and had a whole team of Pokemon and Team Skull thugs who respected her and had a chaotic but comparatively positive family life, Ziggy is usually extremely calm and collected unless pushed and doesn’t often raise his voice, partially built up his running and jumping prowess through his time on the streets but is prepared to fight dirty and use quick wit and his silver tongue to bewilder others, and sadly had a rather problematic home life he had before he was forced away from his old home in some worn down abandoned warehouses in Monostoke.
With his father having mysteriously disappeared after an argument with his mate one day and his mother wanting nothing to do with her children and often just leaving them to fend for themselves unless it suited her own interests, Ziggy was often left in charge of looking after his many younger siblings and had to scour the streets for hours at a time to find food and shelter for them. His time on the street resulted in him becoming rather street smart and developing a silver tongue and sharp wit he uses to outsmart friends and foes alike, and it was through this tough living that he learned how to cook curry for his younger siblings, but as a result of only being able to eat cheap food he’s been able to steal, he hates the taste of ‘rich, high end’ food, and he was seen by his mother as an obstacle as she wished to control and use and train her children for her own ends, but Ziggy would have none of it. Ziggy enjoyed a few years of rebellion against his abusive mother, until she had enough of it and, after a rather nasty fight between them which resulted in her knocking Ziggy out, she left him for dead in a rubbish bin.
Thankfully, Ziggy was discovered by the manager of a Postwick Football Club, who nursed him back to health, and trained him in football. Ziggy’s kicking skills was used to knock out aggravators on the street by kicking stones into them and to aim at and break windows to sneak in and find food for his siblings, but the football manager taught him to use it for more constructive purposes, with his Obstagoon acting as Ziggy’s adoptive father.
Ziggy secretly cares about everyone else with a big brother instinct but is trying to keep up a tough persona, with a reputation of being a self made rabbit who fought his way through the rough and tumble back alleyways. (He’s such a tsundere. XD). However, Ziggy doesn’t hesitate to toss the odd bit of snark or snide remark towards someone on his team, which both earns some laughs and some scorn from his teammates when he manages to be insensitive to them, and being slightly manipulative with his honeyed words to guide his teammates towards the outcome he wants also hasn’t painted him in the best light at times. Ziggy tries to reason this as something he had to when he was living on the streets, but some of his teammates won’t have it and as such, he can come across as untrustworthy and insincere.
While Ziggy is proud of his wits and his speed and athletic prowess (and often goes out of his way to say ‘Faster than a shooting star, and twice as elegant!’ while running around with his teammates – even if he has a habit of falling asleep standing up because he wants to rush forward to another challenge), one way that you can anger him is by implying he’s ‘the best’ or saying he’s the best in his field. To mooch off of Ziggy’s success and make herself look better, Ziggy’s mother put her eldest son on a pedestal while also saying ‘That’s MY son!’ and also using her son’s sexuality to make herself look more open minded and improve her own popularity, which Ziggy caught word of. He wishes to be praised for his own merits and accomplishments rather than being praised for reasons that would make him feel like he hasn’t earned his success, and he hates those who would ‘accept’ him to make themselves look more open minded rather than out of any altruism towards him – the type of people who praise him not to do good but to LOOK good.
Ziggy’s 70s glam rocker-esque style was based on one of the few happy childhood memories of his. One day while scouring Motostoke, Ziggy came across a memorabilia store of 1970s fashions and music, and found it to his liking, and coming across an old abandoned record player, he began to enjoy listening to the music with his siblings and came across an abandoned coat off a small window shop dummy that he took to wearing as a Scorbunny. (His flashier jacket in the picture here was one bought by Callum as a present for Ziggy after he saved up money from the Gym Challenge for him as thanks for improving his conduct and being a valuable and cherished member of the team.)
Now a strong and accomplished member of the team, Ziggy continues his search for his missing younger siblings – word on the street is that there have been numerous sightings of his family all scouring the Wild Area and cities and Galar in search of Wishing Stars, almost as if they’ve enrolled themselves in a competition to gather as many as they can…. With some kind of mysterious otherworldly power as the grand prize…. Ziggy believes he knows who is responsible for setting his siblings up to do this... With his new friends and boyfriend Grenadier, Ziggy knows that no matter what his mother may have tried to force his siblings to do, his new team will give him more drive than she ever could.
Grenadier the Male Appletun - While travelling around Galar one day, Callum was walking through a huge apple orchard, where it was said that there was a Pokemon that had been terrorising a lot of the local bird Pokemon. Entering the orchard, Callum was attacked by a rather energetic…… Applin. Despite only knowing Astonish and Withdraw, the Applin had a rather bruised appearance, and despite not being built for fighting, that didn’t stop him from causing havoc anyway. Being able to catch the small but tough iron wall of an Applin, Callum started training him for his team, calling him Grenadier – both after the type of large apple, and after the type of soldier. Ziggy, being used to a life of living rough, began to team up with Grenadier in fights, while Grenadier realised that Ziggy that for all of his speed, due to his poor diet growing up, didn’t have the best endurance, began convincing him to eat more fresh fruit and began setting up a berry harvest with him.
Grenadier was able to catch up with Ziggy as a Raboot in a race despite being an Applin, and when Ziggy got to know him, he learned that Grenadier as a wyrm that had been previously bullied and pestered by bird Pokemon, so he used the experience to build up his body and fight back. Also, Grenadier is a rather friendly and approachable individual when you get to know him – but his bad reputation at the apple orchard where he grew up is something that made him a little bit of an urban legend among bird Pokemon. When he was an Applin, he pushed himself around in his apple to toughen himself up and had a rather large appetite – being larger than normal Applin, Grenadier chose only the largest apples he could find – one day knocking down a sweet apple from a tree in Hammerlocke and evolving into an Appletun with a slightly crustier and crispier exterior than other Appletuns. Grenadier is sometimes subject to bullying by larger opponents due to his smaller size and has a fear and animosity towards bird Pokemon as a result of his bad past with them, so Psyches the Xatu, Plumage the Pidgeot, Bill the Pelipper, Pingu the Empoleon, Smithee the Talonflame and Aolani the Oricorio are members of the team he doesn’t get along with at all, and the larger members of the team are ones he’s often wary around.
Despite his enjoyment for fights, Grenadier seems to be a bit of a daydreamer, and gets lost in thought when out and about with the others, preferring to take his time and take it slow in races compared to how he was as an Applin. Having mellowed out since his time before evolving, Grenadier has realised that he was doing himself a mischief trying to rush into battle in his youth, and prefers to take it slow, often on purpose to attract bird Pokemon to beat up, and his drive to toughen himself up and never back down from those that could abuse him is something Ziggy relates to, and finds strangely attractive in him, same goes for Grenadier’s more positive outlook on life and trying to take life one problem at a time rather than plan it all out like Ziggy does – Ziggy finds it to be a nice contrast. As they began to team up together, Ziggy and Grenadier began to develop a romantic affection towards each other, and enjoy it when they team up together in fights. But on the other hand, Ziggy’s growing enthusiasm to rush about compared with Grenadier’s slower approach to life can sometimes cause tension, such as when Ziggy begins pestering Grenadier to run to the other side of a set up camp or Grenadier yells for Ziggy to slow down. But the next second, you can see Grenadier asking Ziggy to pick him up or bend down so Grenadier can lick his cheek.
Buzzbi the Female Low Key Toxtricity – Buzzbi, before she was taken in by the Daycare Centre on Route 5, was stuck alone in the wild, being extremely jumpy to all the eerie noises that she heard around her deep in the woods, be it from ghost Pokemon, the cars passing by or even the gentle breeze through the trees. A very high strung Pokemon, Buzzbi was taken in by the Route 5 Daycare Centre when she was rooting around their rubbish one day, and when Callum and his team visited the Daycare Centre, she seemed to take a liking to them, and tagged along with them on their adventures, becoming Ziggy’s best friend.
Buzzbi’s army jacket, goggles, gasmask, hat and armband were something she picked out from a military surplus shop she and Callum went into once, and the tape recorder was something she’s been using to record any sounds outside she finds interesting or scary, or preferably, using it to soothe her nerves with metal or the sound of her team’s voices whenever she begins to feel flustered or panicked. When she’s feeling particularly angry or frustrated, she sometimes puts on the gas mask over her mouth completely.
With her acting like a regular excitable wild child in her youth, everyone was rather scared and wary of Buzzbi as a Toxel, with her unpredictable temperament and easily shattered nerves, but they went from being scared to seeing her as being more approachable but still rather confusing when she evolved into Toxtricity. It can be said that Buzzbi has a…. unique manner of going about things like exercising and battles – she’s often taken the most roundabout route to get the ball when its tossed her (going in serpentine and circles rather than a straight line), she's had Ziggy and Octavia nick the ball from her a few times..... but she just keeps on running right past it, and when playing with the feather stick, she ends up straight up missing it a few times with her kicks.
it was discovered that when she was given food, she ate with an extremely hearty appetite…. A bit too much of an appetite for her to handle – she has a tendency to eat too quickly and accidentally make herself sick, which is something that her teammates are monitoring – and before she started watching her food intake, she factored this into her Poison attacks.
While Buzzbi has a rather carefree, boisterous and adventurous personality in contrast to her being rather jumpy, a lot of the joking she has with her friends is an attempt by her to mask her insecurities regarding her mental state and being high strung, with her often lamenting that she never asked to turn out this way and feeling like she’s a mistake, along with her having never really known her parents. When she uses her Boomburst and Overdrive moves, she channels some of her inner frustrations into it, with her having turned to heavy metal as a way to let out her bottled anger, which she feels does occasionally help – one of her telltale nervous tics is her tapping or strumming impatiently at the protrusions on her chest. Some motherly Pokemon in the team like Cuddles the Bewear have tried to help her accept herself for strengths, and she often goes to counselling sessions led by Cerise the Cherrim and Honey the Vespiquen to help her come to terms with her problems and combat them.
Dazzle the Female Hatterene – An extremely well known witch, Dazzle has always been used to time in the spotlight and attracting attention. A rather sassy and diva like individual, and making no secret of the fact she’s even so much as entered a room, Dazzle makes no excuse to showboat herself in battle and in her own abilities, being extremely proud in her psychic prowess, often to the point of coming across as cocky… which is something that can make her come at odds with Ziggy and other members of the team who don’t approve of her occasional narcissism. When going around camp, Dazzle often performs tricks for her teammates by tossing the play balls throwing to her around with her psychic abilities, and in battles she makes a spectacle of her impressive Psychic attacks, Shadow Claw, Magical Leaf and Dazzling Gleam. Another way she’s become a rival of Ziggy is with her rather opulent and alluring characteristics, which he sees as a threat to his own theatrics. Inspired by Aggie the Noivern’s rather well kept fluff (something that the bashful vampiress Aggie sees as rather flattering – another thing to give her something to blush about ) and Fluffles the Linoone, she has a habit of fluffing her voluminous hair around her – and yet again, Ziggy and her often have competitions to see whether her hair or his chest fluff is more fluffy. (Ziggy often steals the hair brush she uses to fluff up his own chest, driving her nuts. )
However, her flaunting her own abilities is a kind of coping mechanism for her own insecurities and inner flaws – being in the Hattena line, Dazzle is often driven mad by strong emotions around her, and she has also had some noticeable incidents when she’s had some rather abhorrent admirers or those who would ostracize her based on her appearance or her species’ reputation for lashing out at those with strong emotions. She doesn’t actively seek out those with strong emotions to hunt them down, but with them being EVERYWHERE, she doesn’t get much of a break from sensing them. And if someone is chasing after her, out comes the Psycho Cut or Shadow Claw attack.
While she does understand emotions, she’s always had problems expressing how she feels properly and wonders how others express their feelings, as sensing strong emotions is something that bothers her immensely. This often leads to her emotions being out of tune with certain situations, or when she tries to show one emotion, she can have a tendency to yell extremely loudly or have no indoor voice. This results in her becoming rather menacing when she’s angry as a simple change in tone of her voice can let you know that she means business – she can be subdued or she can yell, but you never know what she’ll do next if you’ve riled her. This is also reflected in her diet – she prefers to only eat food with very subtle or subdued flavours, and is aware that she’s a pretty fussy eater. Spending time aura senser Tyson the Lucario has been one way she's been trying to learn to remain calm while detecting auras or emotions.
As a Hattena, it was noticed that the little boots she was wearing covered feet that had numerous bruises on them. Being taken to the Pokemon Centre, Dazzle had these marks treated and it was thought she had been rather clumsy or had a tendency to bruise her feet, and it was brushed off. Unfortunately, when she evolved and she started wearing gloves over her hands and arms, the marks returned… The gloves hide the marks of a rather… tragic method she used to use to suppress her feelings or distract her from strong emotions she felt, and taking her gloves off is a sure fire way to bring back some suppressed memories she’d rather forget…
Cesare and Dazzle started off their time on the team always arguing with each other, with Dazzle’s rather proud demeanour being something that Cesare found rather offputting, while Cesare’s feasting on negative emotions was something Dazzle couldn’t understand – the different way they dealt with emotions and the occasional spat that they have over little minor details can cause friction and arguments between them in camp. However, when Callum and his team put them together into fights to try and build their team work, the two had a surprising synergy set up – Cesare’s protectiveness of his companions and Dazzle’s intolerance for rude opponents combined with their strong attacks attacks made them to be quite a team, and Cesare helped to comfort Dazzle whenever she was feeling sad or scared, being able to take some of the negative emotions off of her. And Dazzle had to admit that not only was he noble, but Cesare was pretty easy on the eyes… which caused the few times she had strong emotions which made her confused as to why for once she didn’t mind it…As they spent more time together, the two fell in love, with Ziggy often yelling ‘get a room, you two lovebirds!’, when they flip flop between arguing with each other and nuzzling each other in camp.
Cesare the Male Grimmsnarl – In a similar way to Dazzle being judged by her reaction to emotions in general, Cesare grew up being sighted around areas where people were feeling negative emotions, and he was wrongfully accused of being the one responsible for causing these problems, with his shifty way of moving and dark robe which gave him a menacing air. In reality, Cesare is a Pokemon who has been the caretaker of a run down church tower in the Wild Area of the Galar region, with a whole plethora of Ghost and Dark Pokemon taking in downtrodden and impoverished Pokemon. He simply shows up a lot of these areas where tragedies have occurred because he’s hungry and wishes to help, and while he can be rather mischievous at times (when he hangs out with his teammates in camp, he can be a bit of a troll and intentionally gets in the way of races ), he doesn’t often have any ill will. An example of a good Samaritan who happens to be an Impidimp, he can definitely relate to Absols – Pokemon who show up at scenes of disaster but are not the cause.
Dressing himself up in priest’s clothing and carrying an ornate cane, Cesare became inspired to help others when he fell on bad terms himself – he and his trainer, a kindly preacher, were trapped in the Galar Mines and ended up breaking his leg in a cave in that trapped him and many other Pokemon, and tried to calm down the panicking Pokemon by absorbing their negative emotions. He believed that his trainer was unconscious and tried to comfort her, but all too late, he realised that she wasn’t moving – she passed away from bleeding on the brain as a result of the cave in….. The incident left him with a permanent limp, a demand that his team wear hard helmets if they enter caves and claustrophobia (to the point where he begins hyperventilating if he so much as enters a rock tunnel and needs to hold someone’s hand to let him through as he shuts his eyes tight the whole time – and he’s also deadly afraid of moves like Rock Slide and Stone Edge – and as such he doesn’t get along very well with Doug the Excadrill ), but he became respected by the Pokemon he helped out, and he vowed to make an effort to help those in need. In an attempt to carry on his trainer’s memory and give others hope, he took on her duties and tried to become a priest for real. Despite his rather dark colour scheme and blood red clothing, he is very warm and protective of his team, who he met while on a pilgrimage to Motostoke. He gets along with Deadwood the Trevenant, a fellow preacher, and he also hangs around with the Ghost and Dark Pokemon on the team, as well as vampire bats Dracula the Crobat, Lucy the Swoobat and Aggie the Noivern.
While Cesare is a rather friendly individual, you do NOT want to get on his bad side, as will not hesitate to make you regret it if you cross him or his comparisons. His muscles are definitely NOT just for show, and if you aren’t careful, he’ll be happy to MAKE you say sorry by using his hair to hold you in place while his large fists beat some sense into you. Also, he knows the horrible methods that some people use to garner sympathy when they have malevolent intent – being able to sense negative emotions makes him someone that’s very difficult to trick, as if someone is hiding their malevolent actions behind a sweet smile, he knows their true intent, and will often play along with them with their own tactics, before using his False Surrender move to render them helpless. He tries to see good in others, but much like fellow justice seeker Falkor the Drampa, if you’ve angered him or doublecrossed him, expect to have to do a LOT to gain his forgiveness, as it’s something he does not give easily. This results in him sometimes coming into arguments with the more sarcastic and snarky Ziggy when he makes an insensitive comment, but over time, the two have become vitriolic friends.
Cesare and Dazzle do often come to a head when they both get into arguments with each other, but deep down they show that not only can they equal each other in a fight, but they’re equally affectionate and caring towards each other. It truly began when they teamed up in the Stow-On-Side Gym challenge – while going up against Alister’s Gigantimaxed Gengar, Cesare Dynamaxed and did some strong damage, but was ultimately knocked out. Dazzle, who had begun to develop affection towards Cesare, rushed into the fight, and despite suffering some wounds herself, finished the fight for him, and rushed over to comfort her soon-to-be-boyfriend. There was one incident when they got lost together in Glimwood Tangle and both revealed some rather… dark secrets with each other , but it’s been noticed that since then they’ve continued to become more understanding of each other…. Nowadays, you’d be hard pressed to find them in camp not nestled up in each other’s hair. Even if Ziggy and Buzzbi kill the mood a bit by saying they look like a giant breathing hairball.
Vinayaki the Female Copperajah – The daughter of a duo of warrior Pokemon, Vinayaki has often been dubbed a ‘military brat’ by some of the members of the team who don’t get along with her. Indeed, her strength and knowledge of combat scenarios has left her with a bit of an ego, but a large part of her childhood as a Cufant in the Wild Area resulted in her and entire armies of Pokemon facing off against others who had started abusing the Dynamax phenomenon to abuse and assert their authority over innocent Pokemon in the Wild Area. Many Pokemon who tried fighting against these Dynamaxed Pokemon had lost loved ones in the fights, and Vinayaki is no exception. Her parents, while strict and authoritarian, cared for her deeply, and she has them to thank for giving her the confidence and knowledge of battle scenarios she has, but it has left her with a rather shell shocked mind and only viewing her fellow team mates as reserves – often being critical of their flaws, addressing them as if they’re about to wander into war. Some of the Pokemon who took part in the fights she did never want to battle again, but Vinayaki feels that every day is a battle for survival and it’s all she can do as it’s all she really KNOWS how to do.
Callum’s team met Vinayaki in the Galar Wild Area while camping out one day, coming across a Dynamaxed Rapidash who had been driven mad as a result of overexposure to the mysterious energy of Wishing Pieces. Although small, she used her battle knowledge to outsmart the giant Pokemon and drive it away, which gave her the respect of Callum and his team. Which was followed up with her scolding them for not being careful like they were soldiers….. Despite the rough words, the team admitted she had a point, and at first, she simply joined the team to prevent them from falling into the same fate as her family did, and over time and spending some time treating everything as if it was a fight and evolving into a Copperajah, she began to see them more than just fighters and more as team mates. While she’s not quite ready to call some of them ‘friends’, she does respect them more than she did when she joined the team.
She cares for her team mates deep down, but she doesn’t really have a lot of patience for jokesters, and she often yells at them to stop and try to take things seriously. This has led to her being dubbed a misery guts and is often given a wide berth by some of her team, but some Pokemon in the team like Asumo the Pangoro have come to respect her for what she’s been through and she often enjoys talking about battle strategies and helping their team excel in competitions.
Vinayaki finds Verglas and Grenadier mysterious in their rather quiet and contemplative natures which is why she's warming up to them, but doesn't like Pokemon like Octavia very much - she seems to prefer quieter and more subdued Pokemon, and even then, she’s rather solitary except when she uses the training toys, which she is happy to use. With Vinayaki’s rather… square shape now she’s evolved into Copperajah, Ziggy often yells ‘I’ve heard of barrel chested, but never BOX chested!’, taking advantage of Vinayaki’s lack of patience for his antics. Vinayaki has to resist the urge to stomp him flat, but Ziggy urges her to bring it on as an excuse to get her to spend time with the other team mates by calling it a challenge for her, and the proud Copperajah won’t say no to a challenge. Amusingly, it seems Vinayaki has yet to catch on to what he’s really doing.
Verglas the Male Frosmoth – It’s not very often that you see a Snom with battle scars, but Verglas is one of those rare instances. On their way through Steamdrift Way, Callum and his team discovered a badly injured Snom in the snow rushing into battles with other Pokemon, often calling them ‘commoners’. The team took pity on the injured little soldier and after some coaxing, took him into the team after hearing he wanted to journey towards the Galar Route 10 but had ended up getting lost in the snow, with little way of travelling there himself with his small size and slow speed.
A Snom of noble blood, Verglas is from a prestigious noble family of insect Pokemon that have been among the upper crust of Pokemon since the time of the Darkest Day. Verglas himself lived a rather sheltered life in his early days, with servants and chancellors all bowing to his whim. For a long time, Verglas became rather accustomed to this life, thinking it was meant to be, but when he learned about what his subjects were doing, he begged his family to let himself be a part of the cause. As a result, he was set up to a knight for Aodh, a high ranking lady Sizzlipede who he swore to protect. Finally happy to have a purpose in life, he began eagerly asking to do anything to assist Aodh, slowly developing a drive to do whatever it takes to protect her…. Not knowing that she secretly grew to find him extremely overbearing and rather than tell him straight up that she didn’t want anything to do with him, she gave him a request to fight for her in an upcoming battle against insurmountable odds. Confused by the request, but nonetheless happily accepting a chance to serve her for the cause, Verglas rushed into battle…. With only two moves and a physically weak body, reality ensued, and he was heavily wounded in the battle, suffering a scar across his eye. Previously blinded by his affection towards Aodh, it began to dawn on him during the fight that he was being used, and he became heartbroken and a knight without a cause as a result…. In an odd way, he hates her for using him that way, but although he doesn’t want to, he looks back to the time with an odd sense of longing as well – even if it was a lie, it was a time he truly felt like he mattered, and he’ll do anything to feel like he matters again.
Sadly, in comparison to Vinayaki who is rather proud of her prowess and sees herself as superior at times due to her experiences, Verglas has a rather pressing inferiority complex due to what he deems to be his greatest failure (both failing in battle and being manipulated so easy), and as such, he’s rather clingy to his new team, often hugging Callum and his team mates not just to protect them, but to look for confirmation that they love him back. Fortunately, Callum and his team are much more accepting of him, even if some of them find him to be a bit overbearing with aiming to please. In a rather sad turn, he’s often begging to do anything he can to assist, and in one case, he even yelled in frustration ‘WHY WON’T YOU LET ME DO THIS FOR YOU, AODH?!’
Unlike Grenadier, who likes taking things slow, Verglas as a Snom was frustrated by his lack of speed and despite his typing, he sometimes thinks he's only of any worth when he's fighting someone and he's willing to just throw himself at an opponent feeling he doesn't matter otherwise with a borderline suicidal recklessness – and when he’s training his team mates as a Frosmoth, he can have a rather dangerous and messed up concept of how they should be trained – he has a few times come dangerously close to telling them that the leaders of the team are all that matters and the one he’s training DOESN’T matter. Fortunately, it hasn’t taken root in anyone’s heads yet, but there have been some close calls….
Now evolved into Frosmoth, Verglas still isn't the fastest team member, but he can keep up with them in camp a bit better now, and with his training and time with friends, Verglas has begun to feel like something truly matters again. Seeing a team as something to fight for, he feels like he has a cause again, which was why he attained maximum happiness and evolved. And when it comes to his interactions with teammates, due to his blue blood upbringing, Verglas can have a rather quaint and naïve manner of approaching things, seeing a lot of things as charmingly rustic or droll – when talking to Bill the Pelipper, Antonella the Lurantis and Honey the Vespiquen in particular, he finds comfort in their similar upper class manner of living.
Octavia the Female Grapploct – A rather destructive Grapploct with a diving helmet stuck on her head, Octavia was discovered as a Clobbopus by the team in Circhester Bay smashing up some abandoned shipwrecks stranded on the ice, being encountered a few times by the team and being stalked around the bay. When approached by Ziggy and his team, she began latching onto them and attacking them out of nowhere, yelling at them to stay away because she’s the only one who knows about… something. Before she could finish her sentence, Callum threw a Level Ball at her, and she was caught into the team. That night after being caught, Ziggy let her out of her Level Ball to try and learn what she was looking for, and after a brief tussle between the two of them with Ziggy managing to subdue her with some effort, Octavia revealed that she was on the search for Wishing Pieces for someone who she doesn’t know – simply someone who said it was in her best interests to do so as it’s what would be best for Galar, leading her to learn about and smash up anything that could be of use…. She chose to partake in teeth clenched teamwork with Ziggy to learn more about Wishing Stars, but after spending more time with the team, learning more about hurting the feelings of others, reflecting on her own conduct and evolving into Grapploct, she’s become a valuable asset to the team, and has vowed to protect her team mates… even if she is still a bit difficult at times.
Octavia tries to excuse her destructive prowess into following orders – she seems to be the kind of Pokemon who will do ANYTHING to get something done, and believes in reason over emotions, being extremely unflappable and unbending when she subjects herself to something. Her one track mind, odd way of looking at things, strong tentacles and mood swinging makes her to be a dangerous individual if you don’t get to know her. To try and help her channel her destructive instincts into something more constructive, Callum took her to a bowling alley and suggested she take up bowling, noticing that she has a habit of tucking her head into the diving helmet on her head and rolling into opponents. Octavia finds it to be extremely fun, and over time with her mellowing out, she remains rather eccentric, but she has been making a bit more of an effort to talk to her team mates rather than go straight to tussling with them to get them out of the way to do something – but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t still have a penchant for mischief once in a while.
Deep down, she realises that her destroying things isn’t the best course of action to take all the time and sometimes fears it’s alienating her and stopping her from making friends, but she simply finds the sound of things being hit or smacked oddly therapeutic, having an interest in watching things fall apart as a good outlet for anger and pent up frustration – unlike Buzzbi who is often scared and flustered, Octavia is often getting riled up over something and doesn’t often show fear.
In camp, Octavia is one of the few Pokemon who can catch up with Ziggy in a race… even if half of the time she prefers to latch onto him and grab onto his legs to keep him from moving, which is something she did when she first met him. Cesare and Octavia often flex with each other and compare strength, but Cesare is quieter than Octavia and he finds her to be rather excitable. With her interest in learning more about the strength of objects for her to break, she gets along with Chainy the Klefki and Sarlacc the Palossand, even if her love of finding things isn’t to organise or study them, but rather to simply break them.

Ganesha, known as Kangiten/ "Bliss-God" in Japanese, has a very interesting depiction Japan. Embracing his female counterpart in a gentle hug known as Soshin Binayaka.
It is the only form I have come across where Ganesha and his shakti Vinayaki are depicted together, let alone in such a yab-yum embrace. I could go on for quite sometime about the history and tantric meaning and all that but suffice to say I find it endearing.
To that end I commissioned a more Indian depiction of the scene with both deities wearing traditional garb and carrying traditional implements. Their free hands now giving the blessing gesture with prayers etched above them.
