Oh oh, let’s go with a Rohan rant, shall we? 👀

So so... I agree with the fact that Rohan hadn’t a clear “alignment”; he wasn’t evil, but he wasn’t even a saint. Let’s say someone who made his own interest? Which was the manga, as you said. But here we could go deeper: why was Rohan like this? Why was the manga and, in general, drawing so vital for him? I think we can make it go back to the deep trauma he got when Reimi was killed and he was in the same house, he very probably heard everything from his hiding spot. In my opinion, in that moment something broke in Rohan: he couldn’t even remember what made him change, but the concrete fact was that he was changed. And maybe his talent and his manga were the only certain things in his life, the only one who no one could steal or kill, as Kira did to Reimi. Like, he was so fixated on his talent and manga, the only good and certain things in his life, not to care about anything else; his house? Who cares, he can rebuild it or buy another one. People? People come and go, he’s used to that. But then he had to face the reasons of his trauma: Reimi and her murder. I think that this was a second point where his life was totally shattered; now he could understand why he was the way he was. And maybe thanks to this understanding he was able to start to “grow”, to change himself. I see the OVA Rohan as a “middle” Rohan, a Rohan who’s changing and still doesn’t well know how to assest himself, who’s still digesting the news from his past and, maybe, is still searching a good balance between maturity and eccentricity? Like, I don’t think that Rohan will ever stop to be eccentric, dramatic and “extra”; this, by now, is totally part of his personality! And I’m curious to see how Araki will furtherly develope him!

You are right in the money! It's Rohan. Fucking Kishibe. I hate everything about him! His attitude, his voice, (English and Japanese) the fact that he is everywhere! And the glaze he gets from everyone!

Just that he is in part 4, has his own spin off manga/anime/IRL show! And that he is somehow back in JoJolands. But other characters?! Completely forgotten. What do you mean Everyone is dying in stone ocean but Rohan needs his dick sucked, glazed, ridden, and fondled for no reason????

Not everything is fucking predatory or pedophilic just because someone isn’t the same fucking age as you. Like that’s just an impossible standard to uphold.

And in the end they are fictional characters and what we do with them in our fucking fandom time doesn’t indicate what we support in terms of morality. It’s just for fucking fun.
