Cause commune – ( RC )

8/17/11: jointure / "Idiot Wind"
jointure [JOIN-cher], noun: property given to a woman upon marriage, to be owned by her after her husband's death.
"They say I shot a man named Gray and took his wife to Italy. / She inherited a million bucks, and when she died it came to me. / I can’t help it if I’m lucky."
-Bob Dylan, "Idiot Wind" from the album Blood On The Tracks.
Day 315: Jointure
"I can't live here anymore, Emilio," the red haired woman was starting to go gray with her corruption and madness. Her head was bowed, hair covering her dulled face, staring at the flower who was the only thing that seemed to survive on the estate.
She despised it. It was beautiful, thriving.
"Sister..." her older brother placed a hand on her shoulder, eyebrows knitted in worry.
She shrugged him off and snapped, "It reminds me too much like him."
Emilio sat down frowning. If only he could love someone so much even after death... "Does this mean are you coming to the Castle?"
Her red eyes darted to his then softened, "I was hoping to trade, you could live here and take care of my baby, I will live at the Castle until...until further notice."
"I live here? In your cottage?"
"Please. I can't stand to live her but I couldn't bear to sell it. Knowing my son and the estate is going to your hands, is enough to die in peace."
"But, Rhoslyn, your son-"
"Callum needs a father, Emilio, someone fit to take care of him. Please, big brother, for me."
Emilio nodded slowly, "Yes, of course."
