I haven't done this in a long long looooooong time, but I watched K-pop Demons Hunters the other day and inspiration hit. So here it is the summary and sneak peek from Weightless, the new fic I'm working on!
SUMMARY:
Jinu believes that karma is inescapable as he stands trial for his sins in the Court of the Fifth King of the Underworld. He is bound to suffer the consequences of his selfish actions. Certain that King Yeomra will condemn him to a deservedly agonizing punishment, Jinu is shocked by an offer that promises not only a chance to atone for his sins but also a new life, alongside Rumi.
Weeks had passed since Jinu had died. He traveled the underworld, each step heavy with the weight of his sins. Days spent with no break from constant and unyielding punishment. Not that he was complaining. Jinu knew he deserved it. Besides, he had plenty of experience dealing with torment, after spending 400 years under Gwi-Ma’s control. Despite the circumstances, he was, at that moment, experiencing an uncharacteristic peace, free of pain. He was granted a reprieve solely because he was standing trial for his sins. Jinu knew the sentence would be harsh, and when it came, he knew the torment would return with full force. There wouldn't be mercy for him. Jinu was kneeling in front of his judge, the fifth King of the Underworld. King Yeomra's serious demeanor, the posture of an emperor, conveyed his authority. So it was the clothes he was wearing. A hat with jade pieces dangling from silk strings complemented the fine garment.
