Mike and Sam were friendly in the OHL. The same JarvyDad always came to Sam's games and met with his (and Misa's) agent so naturally Misa assumes this is his dad. Maybe mom is busy or out of the picture, none of his business

Then they're both drafted to the sharks and get to talking more often. Toff is being a little overprotective of Misa being at Sam's place so Sam's like "I can always come over to yours, I keep my location on so my dads know where I'm at." Then it kinda clicks for Misa oh okay he has two dads. Gay dads. Cool. #ally whatever

Then they're on the ice for Sam's first home game and he points up at like, 12 guys in the stands saying "those are my dads" Misa just nods along cause he kinda recognizes one, and he might have an arm over someone's shoulder, but they're in a big group so it's hard to tell
