It’s a little weird, finally having a name — an identity — to tie to all these flashes and memories I’ve had for so long. The shape of the window above the doors of the New York institute, the institute nave all dark and shadowy cause we never bothered to keep it lit, the steles & the sound they made when you dropped them (very specific, I know), and clary. Always clary. Her face had been in my head for as long as I can remember. I’ve made so many ocs matching her description exactly, trying to put a name to the face I kept coming back to, but none of it ever felt right and they never stuck. then I read city of bones and I knew. It was her, this whole time, she was always there. It’s very satisfying, finally having an answer.
