Been re-watching my source and got blindsided by some this-life negative stuff today... Then I started chanting my old mantra, and it really helped. I can literally never do it around people because my source was popular at some point in the past and people would judge me hard, but it's interesting to experience the same emotional effects from those words, even if they have none of the power over the external world they used to. Sure, it's almost certainly 100% psychological, but it's not like they were 100% metaphysical Back Then. I've been needing a good grounding technique since I still have pretty big emotions, so this is a pretty good discovery to come out of something where I'm pretty sure someone else screwed up and screwed me over because of it. Not in an unfixable way, thankfully, but it's still a lot of stress, and I needed my old mantra.
