Random kin memory just popped up, one that fills quite a few plot holes:
I had been playing Minecraft on my work laptop at my receptionist job, and they probably knew what I was doing but didn’t care. (It was a slow day.) After witnessing It, I was given one final day of lucidity as a warning before my mind began to cave in. I snuck into a storage unit, picked the lock to a random locker, and hid the laptop inside because I believed it would be the best way to keep Avery away from the King.
When I got home, my Soylent order had arrived when I placed it a few days ago, and they accidentally sent me an extra case. I actually hadn’t tried the drinks before before, but I took the extra anyway because that shit is expensive. I brought it with me into my room. In my room, my PC was already on and the MOJANG logo was already full-screened and loading. I don’t even remember walking to my chair and sitting down, or even booting up the world; next thing I knew I was in the world and my head had started pounding.
Avery needed to rent a storage locker as he was moving out of his dorm for winter break, and he would be transferring to a different dorm hall for the spring semester. Because I didn’t alert anyone that I had stored anything inside, the attendant gave Avery the exact storage unit that I had hidden the laptop in, thinking it was unused. Avery’s school laptop’s screen had cracked and was too expensive to repair, so he was going to rent one from the school until he could get a new one. Upon seeing the laptop inside the storage unit, he took it, hoping to save some money.
He used it for a week before logging into his Minecraft account, and the rest is history…
