Being a Kin of an AU certainly is grand, definitely isn’t soul destroying that you’ll never meet anybody from your source.

I hate kinfirming a noncanon character then immediately being super confused about my prior relationships with canon characters. Was he an awesome friend I had a crush on but never got with? Was he eventually my husband? Something in-between? I don't fucking know because right now, I'm just remembering telling him I was gay because he was literally the only person I thought would not react with awkward "don't say something stupid, don't show you're weirded out by this" attempts to act normal, weird invasive questions, "you'll grow out of it", or worse (the society I lived in was......... Not exceptionally open-minded or normal about people being even a little different, no one ever physically threatened me, but I think having a literal dragon by my side most of the time helped make sure no one felt like they could). And I was right, he was super cool and normal about it, and I'm glad he was my friend, whether or not we ever got together romantically. I just wish I could remember if we did or not!

Canon disabilities

canon disability: i'm canon-divergent. in canon, i lose a lot of my body and have cybernetic parts. in MY canon, i lost my leg and largely retired from field work to help run things behind the scenes and help raise sunny. see also: hella PTSD. the entire first game was virtual reality, in my canon—rosemary as she is in the game wasn't a real person, just a program. she was based off someone i met once, who was kind to me. the program was a fucking gaslighting speedrun and i had a lot of problems with trusting reality once emma got us out. - raiden
