Eithne smiled up at Tristan's words before turning her eyes back ahead of her on the path the pair walked, letting her head drift somewhat lazily against his shoulder as the pair continued on at an easy stroll. The sounds of the creek running next to them coupled with the birdsongs provided an ideal soundtrack for a late afternoon stroll through her beloved Malconaire.

"Luckily, our needs are one in the same today," she commented, closing her eyes for few moments, feeling the warmth of the sun against her face. Eithne felt Tristan press a kiss against the top of her head and she let out a contented sigh.

"I wish all our days could be like this..."

"Do you now, Eithne?"

Her eyes sprung open at the voice-- not Tristan's quite, calm tones but instead it was Cassimir. Eithne dropped his arm, quickly backing away from her fiancee. He wore his wedding clothes and Eithne looked down to see herself not in a linen dress, walking barefoot by the creek, but instead in the gown and slippers meant for her wedding day.

Horrorsticken, she looked up to see Cassimir looming above her, hand outstretched. Valentina's laughter rang in her ears. She heard the sounds of her mother and father singing to one another, distant like when she'd been small and had heard their voices drifting in through her open window from the garden. She couldn't breathe. She couldn't think. Eithne sank to the ground, gasping, trying to catch her breath-- she was dying, she was dying and the last sounds she would hear would be her step mother's laughter as she suffocated.

Eithne bolted upright in bed, letting out a gasp as she desperately tried to fill her lungs with air. It took a short moment for her to realize she was not suffocating, she was not dying-- she was in bed, safe, unharmed.
