Igorina had good eyes. Polly wondered if they’ve ever belonged to someone else. She gave Polly a wink and held up a thumb. It was, to Polly’s relief, one of her own.
Terry Pratchett, Monstrous Regiment
If we get any decent Discworld adaptions in future I kind of hope we see a few more of the Igorinas. They're more talked about than seen. I don't hold with mucking up plots willy nilly (especially after...you know) but any adaption requires changes here and there, and it would be nice.
The Igor in Making Money could be a candidate for a gender-swap; he doesn't lisp as much as normal, which IIRC Monstrous Regiment called an Igorina trait and you could tie it into the trans stuff with Gladys.
You'd have to change Hubert's characterisation a bit, but to be honest IMO the Moist books leaned too heavily into the 'reclusive obsessive or inventive and blatantly not neurotypical men who all act awkward/creepy around women' thing. I don't think you'd lose anything by having him be familiar enough with girls to treat Adora like a human being instead of an alien species. Quite the opposite, if anything.
Lucian's Library Winners Round 3: Heat 1
If you could check one never written or never finished book out of Lucian's library in the Dreaming which would you take? (Yes, you may have a babel fish.)
The Books Terry Pratchett would have written if he hadn't gotten sick and died
Terry Pratchett novel with Igors and Igorinas doing gender confirmation surgery.
This poll is a run off between previous winners.
Feel free to suggest never written books you wish you could read for future rounds.
Yes, I know he might have written the Igors and Igorinas book, but he might not have.

OH MY GOD I JUST GOT THE LINE ABOUT HOW IGORS TEND TO BE "very popular with the young ladies"
It's dicks.
If they can add extra thumbs, like.
Yeah.
I finally figured out what Sanderson’s Kandra remind me of in the Era 2 Mistborn books. Pratchett’s Igors.
“I’m quite fond of this skull,” the kandra remarked. “It’s sixth-century anteverdant, the head of a metal merchant from Urteau whose grave was shifted and protected as a side effect of Harmony’s rebuilding. An antique, if you will. If you make a hole in it, I’ll be rather put out.”

“Now, now, Lord Ladrian,” VenDell said, holding up his hands. “Is that the way to speak to someone who bears your ancestor’s hands?”
“His … hands?” Wax said. “Are you speaking metaphorically?”
“Ah, no,” VenDell said. “Breeze did say I could have them after he died. Excellent metacarpals. I bring them out for special occasions.”

“You’re a Bloodmaker, correct? Can heal yourself? Bloodmaker bones tend to be particularly interesting, as your time spent weak and sickly creates oddities in your joints and bones that can be quite distinctive. I’d love to have your skeleton. If you don’t mind.”
---
“Good eye,” MeLaan said.
“You can’t have it,” he said, turning the spyglass and looking toward the farmsteads in the area.
C’mon I can’t be the only one seeing this.
