I've been raised in the kind of environment where people have physical fights on the streets quite often. I've seen my father beat up drunk idiots to protect us.

And the one rule that's been instilled into me is this: You don't beat up someone who is already on the ground, physically or mentally.

Making fun of Pedri holding his neck, mentioning Negreira as if Pedri ever needed refs to dunk on him in the past? Shitty but whatever, rivalry and stuff. This, however, crossed a line and told me all I need to know about this guy.

At that point the game was won. He strutted up to him, knowing that no one is looking and he won't get anything from the officials for this. Like a rat.

More importantly, he came up to Pedri who would never answer in kind so it's not even a provocation.

Jude just wanted to bask in his own superiority. He wanted to humiliate him. This was the only reason to do this. I don't care if he was pissed with Pedri for 'simulating' or anything else.

For me, it's pathetic and I will always remember him by this deed first. No matter how many nice things he does. He is a man who can't be graceful in glory, a man who crosses the line of respect for a competitor for the gratification of a win. A win happening in fucking October btw! Why didn't he pick up on Lamine, wasn't it him he had beef with in Instagram captions later?

Talk is cheap and actions are loud. So for me he will always be Patheticham.

And btw, this was how Pedri replied to this humiliation.

By winning the Supercopa and the best assist award (before that he had still come up and shaken everyone's hands).

By winning the league and sacrificing 100% pass accuracy to show him they are not the same.

Like a footballer in a rivalry, not a rat in a street fight.
