Can we talk about how genuinely disruptive hyperfocuses can be? Like yeah it’s not very cutesy “oh hehe I spent too long playing stardew valley” or whatever.
I’m laying here trying to sleep but the same song from new hyperfocus musical is playing on repeat in my mind (yes even when I listened to the whole song or play the whole thing in my head it repeats). Literally trying to break the spiral. I wanted to get to sleep hours ago but I was looking up things about the musical. I haven’t even seen it yet?!
It truly feels like a toddler is running around in my head screaming for their show and when i indulge it it just repeats yet if I don’t they just scream and scream and scream.
Sleep disruption is just one part. Forgetting to eat and drink water? Refusing to go to the bathroom? It’s maddening.
