im not letting people claim "system" is medical exclusive terminology in plural spaces when any other plural could (and to an extent should) relate to the first definition of the word btw. its not like narcissism or bipolar or borderline where the word originated in medical spaces with fictional (mythology) or real language roots. it existed before and during and after its use in the psychology field for reasons outside of systemhood.
i get not wanting the medical/disordered aspect and plurality aspect of dissociative disorders muddied up because theyre still very different experiences but when SYSTEM is already the most common way to refer to both disordered systems and plurality as a whole, not letting "undeserving" people use it and forcing them to use "plural" in a state of infighting like this just lets you single out. essentially. "systems i dont like" or at the very least "systems i think as less than me" in contexts that have. nothing to do with the disorderedness
when i use system to refer to myself or plurality as a whole im not doing it because I want to steal terms from diagnosed certified verified mentally ill people. im doing it to blur the lines between medicalized plurality and nondisordered plurality from a DISCOURSE standpoint because i dont think people deserve hints or signs on whether they can decide they like me or not
if you are plural or experience plurality you are a system. of youre a system you are plural or experience plurality.
