Hey makers, help me figure out a thing…
So I convinced Doodle to get rid of this old teddy bear I once made her because it didn’t come out great and she never really formed a connection with it. But I realized this was my chance to fix it up before sending it forward to destiny.
Here’s the original bear:
Okay at best and was never very cuddly. I didn’t choose the best fabrics back then. He has since been washed, brushed, and partially dismantled. His fure now looks like this:
Feels a bit coarse but no longer matted. I want to replace his snout with contrasting material but nothing too soft since he isn’t that soft, and nothing too bright because it wouldn’t suit him. I have these options in my faux suede fabric stash:
So it could just be his snout, but also fronts of ears and soles of feet, if I wanna put in the work. Then I think black plastic nose and lighter doll eyes to make his face visible.
I considered white or grey but I want to use what I already have on hand. Any thoughts on which fabric might make a nice snout? They’re all suitably understated. I fixed up his scarf but it was never that great and I may make him a brighter one.
