process video for my most recent Silksong piece.

Finally, all compiled together, this is the animated logo for my YouTube channel. The music here was a mix of a bunch of different things - whispering, weird vibraphone, and some other stuff I can't remember. I'll make another post breaking down how I animated everything in detail. I think that would be fun to expand on. Let me know what you think

The Silksong is REEEAAAAL. Man, big shoutout to Team Cherry for another absolute banger. Silksong has been fantastic, and I'm still working through it (no spoilers!) Had to celebrate this one with some fanart. How are you liking Silksong? Have you made any of your own fanart yet??

Finally had some time between classes to finish some fanart. Thanatos from Hades the game. Someone made a short animation a while ago where Zag was fighting Theseus and Asterius and getting his ass beat when all of a sudden, Than shows up from a summon. It was so well done, it inspired me to make some Than fanart. This took me much longer than I had wanted - I blame it on my lack of process. I just sat down with an idea in my head, did a few thumbnails and started sketching. I expect more from my students...I should be a better example! Speaking of process - timelapse coming soon!

Animations I did [Part 1] About a year and a half ago, I started working with a company called Hit Point Press. They’re working on making a series of spell reference cards, and I was asked to make some animations for them.  The animations are 8-frame loops that were to be printed on these lenticular cards - so when you hold them up, you can move the card and see the change. I don’t have to tell you...8 frames is very resctivtive. But it was a very fun restriction, albeit frustrating at times.  The spells you can see here are: Feign Death, Blade Ward, Dispel Evil and Good, Blade Barrier, Mind Blank, and Plane Shift.  all in all, I think I did somewhere upwards of 14 spells? I’ll post more here in the future so come check it out!

Here’s a recent profile pic commission I made for a friend. They wanted a raccoon with antlers wearing a decked out witch’s hat. Very fun project just in time for Halloween 🎃

Happy Halloween everyone!! Here’s a spoooooky Chandelure for your viewing pleasure. Did this just about a year ago but came back to it to touch some things up. There’s something to be said about revisiting a piece with a new perspective - it’s something I do from time to time, and it’s nice to see growth between those periods.
