Experimenting with using Blender for illustrations. Like with any kind of 3d, I always think about wether this will take me longer to model or to just draw it. I drew the character, but used a lit model for the leaves!

This weeks mood.

It's been a while Tumblr, but I'm going to start posting more here! Here's a set of characters I sketched for Octavia Butler's "Parable of the Sower" We've been in a book club reading all of Butler's books in publication order and it's been such a wonderful eye opening experience. Parable is a frightening and prophetic post apocalyptic story that got my imagination running. I would love to do a graphic novel with a rough line like these!
