i have SO many thoughts that i’m sure will get shared over the next few days weeks months years

but the most important thing is this—i was so afraid to finish it for so long. i was afraid of the grief, of the horrible hollow feeling that always comes with goodbyes. i wasn’t ready, so i put it off and put it off until i couldn’t anymore.

is there a sorrow? absolutely. but there’s also a joy i didn’t expect. a fullness. a warmth. there was something so right about the way it came to an end, something that makes all the love and laughter that came before it even more beautiful.

a completion, not a cutoff.

not a goodbye. a see-you-later. an in-my-heart.

it’s knowing, without a doubt, that i can tumble right back into 35 Portland Row whenever I need to, and everything will be a little warmer.
